Online as it happen

Fortunately, there’s no questioning the N900’s power. It comes with 32GB of storage, with over 1GB of memory dedicated for applications. As the N900 offers true multitasking, this means you can run many applications, each of which offers desktop functionality, all at the same time. Indeed, the N900’s so powerful, it’ll soon be joined by a fully featured version of Firefox running on it.

Hi, need a tiny weenie help:

After conneccting to my home's WLAN, I can do a search using the phone's inbuilt Google, but when I click on a link in google, the phone wants to connect to Celcom's gprs service. Any solutions apart from deleting the gprs settings?

thanks
*
Did you set your connection to "Always Ask"?

Yes, I set all my settings to "always ask". You can verify this if you have wifi. First connect to wifi, then use google to search for something. When you click on a link in the search results page, you will be auto connected via gprs or asked to be connected if in offline mode. Would appreciate any help if someone can reproduce this "problem".

I don't know if this will help or not. Just a newbie answer.

Try delete the GPRS access point.

Correct me if I'm wrong though smile.gif

Hi all, just bought a red 5800 today  smile.gif  I have a few noob questions and hopefully you can help me out :

1. Can internet threats(virus, spyware etc) attack 5800? If yes, any way to prevent it and what's the most they can do on our phone?

2. Is there any kinetic scrolling in 5800?

Thanks in advance  smile.gif

1. If you don't surf those "ahem" site, sure don't have virus/spyware. I heard there's mobile anti-virus such as the Kaspersky. You can try those. I think the virus will corrupt your mmc most probably. Hope my answer is correct sweat.gif

2. Rumors for now.

This KS has been discussed for few previous threads already. Got or no KS still have to use the phone. Unless you sell it off and get other phone. It's that simple.

I recommend not to install any antivirus it will make the phone slow.
You can protect your phone by before copying any file into the phone do a virus can via PC.

When outdoor do not transfer or accept any suspicious files from transfer. Till now my phone no virus.

Then get apple.  Its very cheap only RM3K
*
Psst. N900 also lesser than apple tongue.gif
