ahaha... yea i remember that.. was ok for me becos i always lure one out with arrow and fight 1-1...
actually they are easy to fight 1-1.. just have to dodge/roll a lot... and use high res shield.. they are very weak to magic.. also helps to have load<50%.

But if more than one... for sure crazy lar!

i actually h8 the BP in the swamp with the meatcleaver more..

ah! cannot roll in swamp... have to shoot arrow from distance.. pull them close and run like hell for ground/island... then fight there.. actually have to plan well ahead and make sure got right direction.. otherwise run wrong way.. cannot find ground = mati

actually no need spell.. i never use against most mobs.. i have average magic power but never use except for boss.. soul light...
sometimes rage of god to clear area and magic weapon spell on the meatcleaver (AWESOMENESS!)

all you really need is a good magic weapon... Moon stuff... works quite well with 80% of Demon's Soul enemies.
It was great for bearbugs as well.. Moon easy to get.. in 1 playthrough sure can get a weapon to +5.

IMO the most important thing against these giants is STAMINA and a truck load of lotus

the one time a giant killed me was my 1st encounter... i thought can block.. so much for that!
