Hi all, i was thinking to get a android based phone, i always wanted to get a Hero but now, a Tattoo has come out with darn affordable price, I wonder which one to choose? Are Hero perfect to choose for the price? or does Tattoo can do all the things that Hero can, with cheaper price?

Thanks rclxms.gif

one thing: Tattoo has only a resistive touch screen(means pressure sensitive tat u need to press with finger nail or stylus), while Hero has capacitive(touch screen like iPhone).

Multitouch support is only available in Hero.
unless you're on a tight budget, then Hero is more considerable.

multitouch can only be used on capacitive touch screen, which tattoo doesn't have, thus the cheap price.

I'll wait for more Androids to come into the market before deciding which one to get smile.gif But if you're looking for one right now .. I guess the Hero looks much nicer & have more features compared to Tattoo .. but depends on your wallet really..

I think the most promising and featured ones would come from HTC. Altho SE Xperia X3/X10/Rachael/Infinity is coming out with cool hardware and Android 2.0, but we're uncertain about the UI, and the lack of a few features (which i forgot, but IINM, it's the Flash support for browsers).
Rumours say HTC are coming with Snapdragon sets soon too, so we shall see smile.gif

Saw the SE Rachael UI at androinica.com .. it seems to be okay but it seems the Sense UI looks much better IMHO .. probably I've been using HTC for quite sometime and happy with the UI on my WM based phone.

i bought 2 tattoo today at pdaexpert lowyat. 1356 with 12 month installment, EACH. 2 years warranty.

at 1st i wanna buy hero. But then, hero will cost me nearly 2.3k for 1 phone. So i think, add another 400. I get 2 pcs of tattoo. one for me and one for my gf. For me, i only use for phone, sms, camera, FB, tweeter, email and gtalk... No need that extra things on Hero. Other people i dont know la. Btw.

my gf said that she prefer tattoo over hero when she type mail on the screen. Tattoo more accurate than hero she said. And now... i've a problem. which one is my phone?? rclxub.gif I look the same from outside. Hahahaha... Bahaya wooo... too many sms thats not related to her. whistling.gif

Ya i wan to know that too,
are u apply for the 0% interest free or with interest?
If Hero also can do installment right?

btw, as u said that Tattoo is more easy to key in words, i tot the Multitouch of Hero might be easier than normal touch? rclxub.gif
I always wanted to go try out myself but the shop keeper are like lazy to layan me... sad.gif

I guess typing using capacitive touch screen will not give you the 'feel', whereas the resistive touch screen for Tattoo needs some pressure, thus you'll feel tat you're actually typing~

Oh thanks a lot. Looks nice and elegant, but it seems like HTC has made 7 homepages a norm in Android UIs XD

Mind me asking what Hero has that Tattoo doesn't has?
Except the bigger screen, resolution, 5 megapixels camera and apps support?
From what i see the two phone has almost the same specs...

capacitive touch screen.
Tattoo uses resistive touch screen, which cant use multitouch
Capacitive touch screen is just like iPhone, while resistive touch screen needs pressure input, not touch.

and tat's the main reason for the price gap
