Thai buddha and Chinese buddha cannot mix one.

Have to see properly before sending the statue to the right place (temple).

Statue might be Buddha, but the soul might be a spirit or gumanthong if you don't know the origin of the Buddha where is the temple from.

Throw it away? Must be kidding.
Better be safe than sorry, you or your family might experience bad luck for your entire life or even next generation.

It reminds a monk give a weird thing to me. At first I said don’t want. After pujuk me for a while, I accept to take that thing. Few hours later I throw it into the dustbin.

Until now I am still alive.

You can leave it by a huge tree next to a main road and a drain. This is one other method.

if u a freaking Buddhist... tat the worst thing u can do, it like throwing away a statue of Jesus doh.gif
if u a an <insert race> then u are a badly racist vmad.gif
Btw ts u can give it to temple, the monk will tell u wat to do......Never ever throw a Buddhist statue is very direspectful

Bodoh la you. If you give a Christian any Jesus statue, they will gladly throw it away, as no real Christian will worship a statue. A statue is just an object for remembrance not for you to worship doh.gif

Also, how naive of you to think that the temple will keep your Buddha statue? I can guarantee you that after taking "donation " from you, the statue will also end up in the bin. Else, we would have seen thousands upon thousands of unwanted statue in temple.

My friend gave me a Buddha statue months ago in covered with cloth. He does not pray anymore so decided to give me as I'm buddha also.

The Buddha statue unopen (the cloth i mean) until now, and I'm have some difficulties to deal with my housemate with this problem.

What should I do? Send to temple? What is the actual procedures?

Go temple ask. Best option liao.
If it were me, I'm Buddhist also I won't simply accept gifts like this.
Religious items are best not received without proper reason.
