My friend gave me a Buddha statue months ago in covered with cloth. He does not pray anymore so decided to give me as I'm buddha also.

The Buddha statue unopen (the cloth i mean) until now, and I'm have some difficulties to deal with my housemate with this problem.

What should I do? Send to temple? What is the actual procedures?

Send to temple, don simply put at road side or any other place.

I think is not like that eh, throw away, because will have side effect i think.

if you dont mind the statue, then just put it in your room

if u a freaking Buddhist... tat the worst thing u can do, it like throwing away a statue of Jesus

Btw ts u can give it to temple, the monk will tell u wat to do......Never ever throw a Buddhist statue is very direspectful

Is it ok to put at the living room?
Because the statue had not been open 1 months plus already...
But I will move soon, so the rent house own by somebody. I have to give it away.

Can briefly tell me what need to do if get to the temple?, Does all temple accept?

you dont want to keep the statue?

if no:

1. give to a friend as gift

2. like some other forumers mention, donate it to temple of your choice. i'm pretty much sure, they'll accept it

just go to any major temple.. and say u want to donate a Buddha statue.. they will tell u how, some temple will charge u bt it acceptable than just throwing it away

Ok, donate to a major temple. Can I know where is the temple located? I'm in Shah Alam. Is ok to bring to PJ, anywhere within Klang Valley.

Christians don't pray to a statue of Jesus. So they won't mind if you throw the statue of Jesus into the dustbin.
