hi,
I 'm using HTC Touch cruise with original wm6.1 rom . applications i m using a lot ie. MS excel, MS word MS outlook and mapking for GPS. I m also using activesync to sync and copy data to/from my win7 compaq notebook.
Thinking of upgrade to new wm 7 pdaphone or Android pdaphones.
Questions:
1.same application, will i face any problem if i change to Android pdaphone?
AND i need to read/edit excel/word/contacts/appt. in the phone as well.
Does the android auto sync with the outlook in my compaq win7 notebook as well?
TQ for the help.

Questions: 1.same application, will i face any problem if i change to Android pdaphone? Nope. There are various alternatives for you to choose from in Android. There are many type of apps available for you to edit/create files like excel, word, ppt, for eg. thinkfree office. There are many apps for you to sync with outlook as well, for eg. android manager wifi. Or you could sync to cloud, means your gmail account or ms exchange server.AND i need to read/edit excel/word/contacts/appt. in the phone as well. No prob. I m currently using thinkfree office for the above.Does the android auto sync with the outlook in my compaq win7 notebook as well? I don't understand what you mean by auto-sync. If you want to sync to outlook you need to connect your phone to your pc. However if you sync to cloud, you can set it auto sync.TQ for the help. My answer in green. Android 2.1 also support flash but it is only flash lite. This post has been edited by lch78: Jan 5 2011, 08:53 AM

You have to manually press the sync with outlook. But, this feature might be available already or in the future which I am not too sure as I am using auto-sync to gmail right now. Thinkfree is free for download at android marketplace. Which phone you intend to buy? Most phones will come with ms office editting software already. Only when u don't like it, then you can search for alternatives.

QUOTE(firbest2020 @ Jan 14 2011, 01:38 PM) is the gps navigation for android (eg. papago) free of charge? The only free GPS navigation for Android is Waze. PapagoX5 is a trial version for you to use for 3 months. QUOTE(ciwek90 @ Jan 15 2011, 04:04 PM) Task manager, although it makes the phone tend to run faster (due to it killing anything that eats RAM), it can also make the phone unstable. As some processes will indefinitely start back up again, and starting back up takes resources, and eats processing power, which in turn, makes things worse.
