athene is  a dumb slut who's popularity  out lived his pvp career. unlike him orange marmalade dont need to tell the world he is the best mage his proness out enables him to not have a dumb show making retarded around the conner sounds that i use when dueling my friend in durotar with our twinks during bc.
and instant noodle any guild that can enter hm runs aka any well progressed guild dont have loot drama because people know how things work and how things are awarded. and my guild has a fair loot system we have a dk system and also have a "deserve" system, if lets say i am a retlol and i attend every progressing raids for togc25 every single raid i attend even the fail runs and am always early, while an officer DK dps who attends 1/3 raids even if his dkp is a little higher due to early guild progression dkp reward and guild status will still drop behind me in loot awarding wise, because if i get gear and come every day a week is more beneficial then him getting gear come once a week for raid progression. and to test if any1 is reading at this point ill reload your wow acc if u spot this in 2 minutes! woot woot woot woot

Orangemarmalade got famous because of ONE tournament match. Not to say he isn't pro, he is. But he's definitely not the best. He managed that 2v1 because the other 2 players slacked. Like you have never won a 2v1 or 3v1 in arena before? Because I have, and simply because the other players slacked; thinking its gonna be peanuts. Although I gotta admit I felt like the best player in the world when I won that 3v1 in arena lol.

When you start your WoW Launcher, do you get the note at the bottom saying that there's a patch ready for download?

If you don't see the launcher at all you can tick the box for it at the login page of WoW.

Restart and it will starts.

Or you can directly go to the wow folder and run the BackgroundDownloader exe there.

@khelben, Gormaz

answering 2 questions once:

when i fire up the launcher.exe the page clearly stated that there's data available for download for the upcoming patch (but no more mr T's mohawk granade), played for 2 hours straight last night bouncing on and off main/alt/banker/realm for the baby onyxia/AH/grind then logged off and wait for the downloader to start streaming in the files and nothing happened

so, i rebooted my pc, started the launcher again (same message shown, btw) and request the download to start when the game started and cruising again in wow, this time i flew around northend mining cobalt and saronite for some time and it's lag as always (over 2k ms, thx to TMNut), i alt+tab and checked for the download icon... nothing...

scratching my head and further thought why the download failed to start i started the launcher again, reset preset, ran the blizz downloader after closing the launcher and it stated something like 'you are running the current version of wow', but i had went thru every bytes in the sub directory and not a single pending patch file can be seen hmm.gif

will try the login page thing later today.

Its a known issue.

You set it to, "download after closing WoW" yes? When you've quit the game, check your task manager, you should be able to see BackgroundDownloader.exe running at around 6k. It means that its not working.

It's the latest version of BackgroundDownloader.exe that some people might be facing.

What I did was reverting the latest one to the previous and it worked fine. Quite a few reports already at the technical forums.

theres a difference between 1v3 online and 1v2 in a tournament match. your online game they can slack and wand u and use their throwing weapons to dps u to be cocky but in that match they were not slacking i know i was watching. and winning 3v1 in a 1500(pre 0 point start) or 0 rated matches is really penuts compared to playing with players who really know their class well.

From what I remember, the opposing priest DID wand Orangemarmalade. That priest almost stopped playing until he realised something was not right. They know their class well, you are absolutely right. And for players who know their class very well, those players will NEVER lose in a 2v1 fight EVER if they were playing in their full calibre. It is simply impossible. But in this match against Orangemarmalade, it was because they slacked and got overly confident after seeing it was 2v1 and having Orangemarmalade almost OOM and with so little HP. Anyone would, even in a competitive scenario.

And Orangemarmalade took advantage of this slacking. What he did to win the match was very skilled, I just find it annoying that people only focus on Orangemarmalade's godsent skills and totally overlooked the real reasons and circumstances that enabled him to win that match and tournament.

PS. Although not very impressive, I won my 1v2 and 1v3 in the 1800+ bracket back in s5.

The priest wanded him. The tournament commentater said it himself and also commented on how he wondered what the priest is feeling after the match. The match also ended with both the priest and Orange alive in a 1v1 that lasted till the time limit. The winner was decided with many factors such as total damage dealt and heals.

And no, if i were using dk or retlol i wouldn't be posting trust me haha. I have a rogue with an RMP 3's. I'm nowhere close to his playing calibre dude, but u gotta admit its impossible to win a 1v2 if all 3 players are tournament skilled and are playing to their full potential. Especially when its mage/priest vs mage. Mage vs mage itself takes ages with LoS in play.

2nd youtube, nuff said.
the priest didnt wand because of slacking, btw.

you can say orange got lucky, his opponents slacking, RNG, skills, etc, etc.
however in the end what happened was orange changing the momentum of the game and came victorious in an uphill struggle and ultimately became a 'mage legend' that inspired many mages around even the likes of pookz(which he even said so himself on his post and interview).

Nice... So he's kinda like the Reckful of mages. Top spots in all 3 brackets and his own unique specs. I'm wrong then, he was a famous Korean rogue before his infamous performance in that match.

Not accurate at all. Casual players know of Orange because of that 1 match. But pro teams knew orange was a top mage because they know of his arena background, and Korea have their own tourneys also.

What makes orange the best mage in the world is that he has 7 different gearsets, runs the strats when his priest/rogue is too busy with something and constantly aware of everything.

In the recent MLG, the US and EU teams were doing training sessions in season 7 gear. Whereas Button Bashers were training on live with season 6 gear. They raped the tourney and made everyone there looked like scrubs. In alot of matches, Orange and Numberone 2v3'd while their rogue sat in restealth for nearly a whole minute. They managed to burn opponent's cooldowns for a perfect re-opener. No other RMP does this on tournament, except SK US, and even they can't pull it off cleanly enough.
