Not a bad area. i think from your side, you can walk to women street. Using LRT, you can go Temple Street, and lots of places. Can't recall......

Time to share with you all my journey hehehehehe

First of all, the food there all are freaking expensive .. omg .. roughly 4x ours ..

for a pork chop curry rice and a glass of tea, nothing special, rm20+

1 slice of pizza = rm10+

but the esprit and giordano store .. they are selling pretty cheap ..


Tournament Asia Gameshow 2009

Participants - 5 only, Malaysia, Korea, Singapore, Taiwan and Hongkong

begins with elimination league first .. trying to make it 4 participants only for semi final

I arrived at 9am .. the elimination game starts at 3pm ..

So I was lurking around the Asia gameshow fair for few hour .. and no chair ..

Only Me, JDCR(korea), Shinz(singapore) and Xiao Snake(taiwan) made it to Semi Final

Semi Final

Kiba (Steve) vs Shinz (Steve) - Msia won
JDCR (Bryan) vs Xiao Snake (Armor King) - Korea won, 5 - 4 .. very close match .. Taiwan almost got it

Final
Kiba(Steve) vs JDCR (Bryan) - Korea won .. 5 - 2 ..

Champion - JDCR
1st Runner up - Kiba
2nd - Shinz
3rd - Xiao Snake


It was really fun playing at hongkong arcade .. so happening

funny thing is .. when all of us sitting chatting together .. I mentioned that I did not get a PS3 .. as the champion prize

all of them .. silent .. and asked me again .. are you serious ?

I said yeah .. then all of them said .. HARRRRRRRRRRRRRR ??
then laugh laugh laugh including the taiwan sony staff ..

even when the korea guy noe about this .. his eyes oso open big big ..

even the arcade players .. all of us sitting together and eat at cafe ..

they all oso laugh like mad ..

Malaysia is always different with others

We re currently working on other tourney and under discussions of the Malaysia Open Tekken tourney or Super Street Figther 4 Open tourney...keep finger crossed...

Kiba Ps3 Incident:
I think I should explain:

First of all, please dont get upset Kiba...I do undrstand how its feel not to have a PS3 and other country winners have one. Malaysia tourney seriously is totally different. I did asked for you a PS3 and was turned down. According to Sponsors...they have no extra budget to give the champ a PS3 as the expenses paid for your trip and hotel is more than RM 6000. Initially- we are not supposed to send a representitive to HK and it was a last minute decision from our side to fit one in.

Asian finals tourney has been around few years and why Malaysia never had someone there? Because of piracy issues and so on...however, recently - after many tournaments we run, HK HQ decided to allow Malaysian to be part of it..they saw our potential and we are invited....

This is the first of many steps to come for a better tourney... I too want sponsors to provide more gifts and prizes...so more people can be happy about it...

Seremban tourney was a tourney specially held for those who didnt make it to HK and also a branding tourney to let people know that there is a sony in Seremban Jusco 2. The reason sponsors restrict you from taking part is because we want others to win something too. Malaysia Tekken 6 gamers are not many...infact, we can predict who wins everytime. What is the point of doing it if we already know who wins all the time? If the tourney is a yearly event...we do allow you to take part eventhough you won at the previous year...(depending on the mechanics and rules of each tourney)

But since the tourney is a week after the one you won...sponsors think thats its fair for others to win something.

I do understand that you are a student and needed money. But think of the bright side...you represent Malaysia...you went to places many of us wanted to go...seen ASIA GAME SHOW first hand...people from Other country knows your name...you played with them...you met the director of tekken....bragging rights....and we for seen many other tourney that you can win too. I really hope you are not sad about your VICTORY up to this stage and dont let your money issue let you down...being a true champ is not just winning a tourney...but many other things too....

Congrats Kiba and because of you, we get more tourney in near future...
