Hi all LYN members!!!

I am a new user of the MSI Dka 790GX platinum motherboard....

I want to know the coolers that can be supported by this motherboard....

There is a huge heatsink near the Processor....Anyone experienced blockage with that heatssink?

Really hope that the members here can share their experience....

Plus any recommendation of coolers for the casing I am using ---> Sunbeamtech HTPC acrylic casing....

I have about 12 - 14 cm of height for clearence....Thanks once again

Some pictures of the board:

Can try Xigmatek Cobra since the Cobra is made recommended for AMD Proc and Is not very tall in height as well. Fits your HTPC.

Dun worry bout the Heatsink, not much Cpu Cooler will hit it as now CPU cooler have a gap at the bottom to prevent contact with RAMS.

Megahalem, megashadow, killer whale, xigmatek s1283 or dark knight should fit this mobo.
Best is bring the mobo to the shop where you want to buy the heatsink.

height will be d main concern. performance type coolers are almost a no go if d width of ya case is < 210mm. smile.gif

If ur using a Branded Casing lie CM690, Thermaltake then you dun have to worry bout the cpu cooler.. main thing is the casing if is chapayam, chant use big cpu cooler or ur side panel cant close..

CM Scout have very tight backside, i also having hard time helping my customer doing cable management with that casing.

Back to topic, Any CPU Cooler will work on this motherboard TS, just have to take note of your casing now.
