QUOTE(alexwsk @ Apr 15 2011, 12:25 PM) online purchase will not require pin if the website does not support Verified by Visa also the Verified by Visa pin is different from ur ATM pin you'll need to create the pin urself, more info hereYes I got the Verified by Visa pin already. All transaction except from daily sugar so far requires a Pin. But i was wondering if transaction can go through without entering a pin then what's the point of having a pin in the first place. Is there setting or something to compel all transaction needing a Verified by Visa pin?

QUOTE(eddiez_zz @ Apr 28 2011, 01:19 PM) hey guys, i would like to get clarification regarding debit card. I am currently using HLB ATM debit card. Few days back, i went to a restaurant and i used my debit card to pay the bill. i always thought that in order for them to settle the bill with my debit card, they will required me to key in the password. But surprisingly, the transaction are able to go through without my password. So guys, is it true that debit card does not come together with password? I felt insecure with this, as all cash money is inside that account. hope someone could help to explain on this. thank you in advance. I had that too with my PBB esso with a site. A forumer said the merchant can opt not to use the password. Defeats the purpose of password if you ask me.

THe petrol station need Minimum RM200 pre-autorisation.
That means you need to borrow the station RM200 for one or two weeks first then you can pump.
Better go into cashier and pump.

I understand credit card means you use money first and then pay later ... and debit card is basically same as ATM card where you can only use the money you have ... I want to know say example in malls or on the internet .. when they say "Payment only by credit card" ... can I actually use my Debit card ? Giving they except VISA and my debit card is VISA ... Yes so long as got VISA then can use alreadi. It is the same. i.e. GSC website you need to click "pay by credit card" VISA. Usually all website don't write pay by Debit card, just pay by credit card. using it few months alreadi

Go to the nearest Public Bank branch and tell them you'll like to sign up for online banking for this account. You can check your transaction history online anytime. [/quote] TQ

I tried a second time with another browser, it came to a VISA verification page and transaction went through. I am afraid i've been charged twice but I didn't enter the VISA verification number for the first transaction. Any body can ? PBB esso debit user here
