Tailor was the hot professions to have in vanilla for quite a lot of healadin, cloth is fine

Depends of stats on item anyway, armor is very secondary for healer, as paladin you have few ohshit buttons if you suddenly find yourself standing in a fire or something.
Amor is maybe going to save you a death once every blue moon, rest of time if you die in raids the hit you take is so huge or from magical source that armor wouldnt have change anything.
