You graduated as in what course?

Normally, it would be the simple ones. Power theories, measurements, simple maths.

From what I had with SLB back then, types of filters i.e. LPF, HPF. And simple calculations, i.e. parallel resistance and whatnot.

Maybe for LWD-MWD, you need to know a bit on the mechanical side?

Ahhh .. crap .. I'm not accepted?  cry.gif Even though it was from diff email address? I am having my fingers crossed that it is not.

what standards are their answers?

the questions were :

1) which country are you authorized to work in?
2) you're on a job. it requires your full attention. your colleague is in need of help. you knew the ways to improve his work. what would you do? pros and cons?
3) offshore, onshore and office. which work place you prefer the most and the least? why?
4) same as question 1.

I am a mechanical engineer right, i also went to SLB 1st interview last December, and they sent me an email telling me that i was passed and they will invite me to the 2nd interview when the financial crisis improved, 1 year passed on that and no respond, but they sent via the email that i have math, physics and logic exams, i really want to know what is the math and physics that required for the oilfied services company entrance exam, please any sample or any help i will really appreciate, and sure i will let you know what happened exactly in my 2nd interview with baker where you can be well prepared!

Thank you and regards.

Wow! 2 years ago?? What did you do for the last 2 years? What were you working as? All i know about the exam is that it is technical based. N related to general engineering. No clue what to prepare or expect. Just read as much as you can I guess. All the best. I haven't got any email stating whether or not I am rejected... Does it mean i am rejected? Coz some ppl got rejection email. I don't...

Btw r you applying to field engineer 2009/1010? University engineer?

R u authorised to work in Australia? Meaning do you have working visa or PR or citizenship there? If not, they will straightaway eliminate you. Baker Hughes doesnt sponsor employees as far as I know. You can apply for residence visa first then reapply again. But Australian visa is getting harder to get these days. Better luck in Canada or NZ.

Which position did you apply? I guess it really depends on the position you applied. U may or may not qualify. But just try it anyway. U still at phone interview stage? I wonder when they gonna end this phone interview and move to next stage... Is it malaysian division faster than indonesian??

BH is one of the top players in o&g services. No clue as to how the comparison goes...
