        At first I wanted to buy the Sony Bravia EX520 LED, it's been a good all round Led tv but left 1 important features at least they provide 100Hz of Motion Picture, this left me thinking to buy other LED tv.

Well, samsung didn't advertise their clear motion rate in 'Hz' as in refresh rate.
Their 50 clear motion rate is better than normal 50Hz, 100 clear motion is good.. 200 clear motion is very good.. 400? even better. very smooth.

5000 is already the lowest spec for 5 series TV.
I'd compared and tested 5003 spec is same as 5000.
Can you tell me what is the differences in term of spec?

5003 has only 1 hdmi 1 USB (only picture and music no movie support)
And the salesman say no dvi or VGA for pc input.
And design is very simple only compared to 5000/5500

Other the clear motion etc same as 5000. No smart tv as well.

I am considering this model vs Sony led but Sony 40" has no motionflow. I won't be using much of the internet tv also

anyway i ended up buying sony 40ex520 after much considerations n research..
im constantly going back between this sony n sammy 5500
finally chose over this sony coz i was given a good offer on the TV..
& the CMR 100hz as advertise on the sammy is misleading as its also a 50hz LED TV same as sony
overall so far im much impressed with the TV
bluray on this tv is beautiful.. sharpness & color contrast are excellent. & the remote also works with my ps3.
if theres any complain is that the photo & movie - its not supporting a variety of formats, even the on supported, they are particular on the movie dimension etc (so far my avis are 50-50 playable)

i've got my 29" sony trinitron that i want to sell off to buy new lcd/led. dont know what to do with this bulky tv.

Recommend me a 32" thats below 1k. using it to connect to my laptop as external display. HD of course.

is 40D5000 samsung good for movies, internet and gaming?

but i dont need smart features much because i'm using desktop so..yeah why smart?

Hi all. I'm going to change my aging CRT TV with new LED/LCD/Plasma and would like to as for recommendation from you guys!

Main usage/requirements of the tv:
1) Astro (non-Beyond)
2) PS3 gaming
3) Sometimes browsing internet and youtube using PS3 (Smart TV not needed, fullHD needed)
4) Do not need 3D
5) At least 40". Viewing distance is around 3 metres.
6) Budget: RM1.4k to 2.5k max....poor man here.

I roughly know the difference among LED/LCD/Plasma. A lot of you recommended plasma over others for non-Beyond Astro. But one thing that is puzzling me: to avoid burning the screen, we have to avoid displaying static image for prolonged time using a plasma tv. However, non-HD Astro is best displayed in 4:3 ratio (correct me if I'm wrong); thus, black bars will be inevitable in 16:9 screen.  I wonder how do you guys deal with this?

I'm a bit inclined to LED or even LCD (I don't see much difference, except I save more money). For me, the extra power consumption saved using LED is insignificant.

So, any good recommendation? Thanks!

but when i meant about led gonna spoil soon within 5 years is actually my dad comparing led will spoil faster than lcd.. not just stating that led tv will spoil within 5 years...

So for astro, unifi usage n DVD wan.. LED more than enough..? I see plasma like not much in the market d...

holy crap!!not even 2 months yet and i see a weird thin black line on my plasma!!

thats it im callin in the warranty.damn im furious!!  

what you guys think??screen/plasma prob??(since i also have tried the usual things, switch off, power cord etc etc).also im quite sure thats not IR.
