QUOTE(TypeR @ Jul 5 2011, 11:14 AM) Gaia34, dunno how the salesman count but now got rebate for ramadhan rm200 for items price rm2000-2999.... At first I wanted to buy the Sony Bravia EX520 LED, it's been a good all round Led tv but left 1 important features at least they provide 100Hz of Motion Picture, this left me thinking to buy other LED tv. Sen Q sell for RM24XX? Retail is RM2999 and i ask sony centre, the best they can give is rm2700.... btw i notice also no 100hz for this model |

QUOTE(lykuan82 @ Jul 7 2011, 11:09 PM) SengHxxx at Tesco Tg. PG is having grand opening promotion, Samsung LED D5500 @ RM2599 and Plasma PS43D451 @ RM1499. Are these a good buy? For those interested, be hurry, limited units only (20 for each model if not mistaken). walao....samsung led d5500 (smart tv) for rm2599 ah good deal i would said cuz this model retail is rm3499.. but this model oni 50hz for refresh rate dun get fooled by the 100hz clear motion rate... QUOTE(overfloe @ Jul 8 2011, 09:37 AM) Well, samsung didn't advertise their clear motion rate in 'Hz' as in refresh rate. the tauke told me that series 5 itself is 50hz for the refresh rate, 100 clear motion rate is just their technology(samsung) Their 50 clear motion rate is better than normal 50Hz, 100 clear motion is good.. 200 clear motion is very good.. 400? even better. very smooth. |

QUOTE(syk @ Jul 10 2011, 12:13 PM) Bro, i believe the spec is same for ua5000 and 5003....the only differences i notice is the frame/bezel of both model.... 5000 is already the lowest spec for 5 series TV. I'd compared and tested 5003 spec is same as 5000. Can you tell me what is the differences in term of spec? |

QUOTE(prazole @ Jul 10 2011, 08:52 PM) 5003 has only 1 hdmi 1 USB (only picture and music no movie support) better take 5000.... And the salesman say no dvi or VGA for pc input. And design is very simple only compared to 5000/5500 How much did u guys got quoted for the tv? Senq here rm2199 Other the clear motion etc same as 5000. No smart tv as well. I am considering this model vs Sony led but Sony 40" has no motionflow. I won't be using much of the internet tv also |

QUOTE(prazole @ Jul 13 2011, 11:12 AM) maybe yours is 5030 ? yup if compare samsung 5500 with sony kdlex520, samsung not worth the price...but both oso 50hz...i was thinking of getting the sony ex520 (rm2449 senq) but oni 50hz for the refreshrates makes me change my mind.... samsung too many models.. headache n confusing la! anyway i ended up buying sony 40ex520 after much considerations n research.. im constantly going back between this sony n sammy 5500 finally chose over this sony coz i was given a good offer on the TV.. & the CMR 100hz as advertise on the sammy is misleading as its also a 50hz LED TV same as sony overall so far im much impressed with the TV bluray on this tv is beautiful.. sharpness & color contrast are excellent. & the remote also works with my ps3. if theres any complain is that the photo & movie - its not supporting a variety of formats, even the on supported, they are particular on the movie dimension etc (so far my avis are 50-50 playable) |

QUOTE(davidletterboyz @ Jan 30 2012, 02:27 AM) Hi all. I'm going to change my aging CRT TV with new LED/LCD/Plasma and would like to as for recommendation from you guys! Samsung 40D5000/5500 is the perfect choice for you, around rm2xxx....but the 5500 series slightly expensive cuz it comes with smart features... Main usage/requirements of the tv: 1) Astro (non-Beyond) 2) PS3 gaming 3) Sometimes browsing internet and youtube using PS3 (Smart TV not needed, fullHD needed) 4) Do not need 3D 5) At least 40". Viewing distance is around 3 metres. 6) Budget: RM1.4k to 2.5k max....poor man here. I roughly know the difference among LED/LCD/Plasma. A lot of you recommended plasma over others for non-Beyond Astro. But one thing that is puzzling me: to avoid burning the screen, we have to avoid displaying static image for prolonged time using a plasma tv. However, non-HD Astro is best displayed in 4:3 ratio (correct me if I'm wrong); thus, black bars will be inevitable in 16:9 screen. I wonder how do you guys deal with this? I'm a bit inclined to LED or even LCD (I don't see much difference, except I save more money). For me, the extra power consumption saved using LED is insignificant. So, any good recommendation? Thanks! & trust me, you won't want to surf internet using your remote control on the tv again after you tried it... This post has been edited by Gaia34: Jan 30 2012, 07:48 AM |
