Sony 55w804 cheapest is from lazada and follow by Harvey Norman. All below 5k. Samsung ua55f6400 (not6300 careful) cheapest is rm5150 samsung pyramid. If samsung ua55f7100 cheapest also pyramid samsung. Check that out if any other place can beat this price😄

Just got my Samsung PS51F5500 last week. But before I can start watching movies from the TV, it's already experiencing restarting issue.

Everytime I turned on the TV, after a few minutes, the TV would hang and go into the signal searching mode, totally can't do anything else besides switching it off.

Called Samsung customer service and they came, after some inspection, the Samsung guy told me the motherboard is faulty and have to order a new one to replace. He said have to wait for at least 1 week for the new motherboard to arrive.

Called the shop where I bought the TV from and asked for a replacement set. And he is now dealing with Samsung and he told me that Samsung is arranging a new set for replacement.

Very very bad luck buying a faulty unit. Now waiting for them to settle the problem. Hopefully everything will go accordingly and I can get my new set soon.

Just sharing my experience with Samsung.

Hi all Sifu. Me totally newbie to this TV thing. Today is the 1st day i decided to buy a new LED unit for CNY.

Was browsing around and need some clarity:
1. Wifi direct - does it mean tht I can connect straight to my streamyx wifi to browse the internet?
2. Do smart TV come with build in antenna or we still need tht old TV antenna (still considering Astro)
3. For all smart TV owners, mind sharing with me your experience with ur units. How long has it lasted without any issues?

Thanks all ~

Guys among these 2 which one you guys recommend

LG 55LN5400 Full HD LED TV 55"
LG 47LA7400 3D SMART Full HD LED TV 47"

Smart Tv is not necessary as i will be using htpc..is the 3D feature worth it given its size?

I am considering 55" for 3d. else for 2d, 42 to 47 is big enough for me. Thats my personal preference.

The BUDGET VERSION of Led TV, such as EX330, EX430, EX43B, LS3110, EH5000, EH5003, EH6030. These TV are not using Edge-lit LED, but Direct-Lit LED. So means its will not be using light guide plats, which is the cause of clouding. When moisture gets between it, then dries, the plates separates from LCD layer, according to samsung engineer.

Uniformity is definitely better than Edge-lit, even tho these are LOW END TVs, ironic isn't it? It has fewer Leds means brightness is lesser, around 250-300 nits. But the banding problem is still there, very obvious when viewing slightly above black gray materials. It will pops when viewing dark grey.
