Yea, I feel like taking a day tour for that.

XiuKeong, may i know when will you be travelling?
I will be flying to iceland on the 29th September and will have around 11 days there.
Do you want to exchange phone number? So we can share if there's any tips or emergency issue?
This would be my first time in Iceland and driving on right side of the road so im kinda nervous.

becareful of gravel roads and keep to the speed limit and you will be fine.

Also the south part could be windy as hell, I could feel the wind pushing my car to the side as i drive by there lol

Yepp we rented a kia sportage and there will be 4 of us... i hope the car would be stable
I also heard that we must hold the door when we open or else the strong wind will break the car door 😫

Hi, i would like to budget myself RM10k +/- solo 10 day 8 night trip izit possible can cover round trip?
*
Can, i have done it in about RM12k... that including London. For Iceland i did around 10 days. If u don't buy souvenir, 10k would be sufficient for u.
Can cover Blue Lagoon somemore.
Cook most meals by ourselves. We made bento box on lunch because we did ring road, so most of the lunch time would be driving on the road with no house no restaurant around... we stop by some place and eat our lunch in the car.

All 4 of us, stayed in good airbnb that has fancy kitchen and also has washer and dryer.
We brought our own mini rice cooker, can cook enough rice for 4 person. Also brought some perencah to fried rice, salt, soy sauce, indomee.
My sister somemore brought bkt herbs to make bkt.
Buy groceries in Bonus, we goto Bonus everyday.
Rented a Kia Sportage, expensive abit but worth every penny.
Did not change any Krona, use credit card all the way.

But then, we were a group of 4. So rental and airbnb all divided by 4.
If you are only travelling in a group of 2, cost would be higher.

Going to iceland this March the temperature will be ard 0-5 degree after some research. Is thermal wear/long john necessary if i wear 3 Top layering ( uniqlo heatech, fleece long sleeves, sweater, half down jacket) ?Fleece Pants with jeans .Thanks 🙏
*
U need a very good thermal wear
A good thermal, and fleece inside and a windbreaker should be sufficient
For your pants, a heatech and another layer should be good
What you need to concern is your shoes and gloves, they are equally important
If your hands and feet are cold, you will suffer

Also, if you are renting, get a good car that has heating

Enjoy your trip and be safe!

FAROE ISLANDS: ICELAND WITHOUT ALL THE TOURISTS

https://www.godsavethepoints.com/2019/03/23...thout-tourists/

Ya, must plan a trip there soon to complete the 3 extreme travel destinations.

Having been to Iceland twice, before and after the volcanic eruption, and to Greenland, four years ago

It's in my bucket list to goto these 3 extreme lands too!

Going to Faroe, Svalbard and Tromso in July!
Hoping to do a short Hurtigruten ferry ride (depending on it's schedule) to Lofoten from Tromso!
Completes my bucket list of 4 extreme lands (Iceland, Greenland, Faroe and Svalbard)

Damn, i am jealous
I am looking to do Denmark, Sweden, Norway and Finland particularly Lapland during harsh winter, somewhere in March
Wanted to do Faroe too but it seems abit out of the way, maybe nx time
I hope you can share your journey here!!
