what about fb's very high battery use? mine is almost down after 7 hours with fb app taking about 80 percent of battery use.
*
I think the problem is not FB app, normal surfing net about 7 hours also will drain the whole battery .

yes, 2.1 can sync with Facebook,

Anyone know how to sync/merge Facebook contact with Google contact?
*
1. Go To run New Facebook Application.
In the App home screen tab menu button, then tab Setting, then tab Sync contact, select your sync option:
a)all contact,
b) contact with exist in phonebook.

2. After go to Main Home Screen. Tab Menu button, tab Setting, go to Account Sync, enter your FB account, after that just same as google account to sync the contact.

3.(If you choose to sync all FB contact) Go to contact chose display option, tick your facebook account.

Don't ask me how the sync work, i'm not sure, sometime it match correctly with phone contact (I think suppose will join with the same email).
If the contact didn't match correct, then you need join manually. Go to Edit Contact screen, tab menu, tab join button, then select whichcontact you wan to join with.

The Droid is set to be the third Android set to get the elusive 2.1 update. Those on Verizon should get the update soon, as it is a gradual rollout and should hit by the week’s end. Droid users can look forward to:

- Pinch-to-zoom is now available when using the browser, Gallery, and Google Maps.

- New Weather and News application plus widget. The Weather and News app pulls the information you want from the Web and brings it to your fingertips. You get weekly and hourly weather forecasts based on your location and news headlines.

- New support for voice-to-text entry.

- Whenever a text-entry box appears, simply tap the microphone icon on the virtual keyboard and speak.

- New Gallery application with 3D layout. View and share photos taken with your phone and images from your online Picasa Web albums.

- Live Wallpapers offer richer animated, interactive backgrounds on the home screen. Access them with a long press anywhere on the home screen. Tap Wallpapers, and then Live Wallpapers.

- Free Yahoo! Mail is now supported—simply sign in with your Yahoo! email address and password.

- Google Maps update.

- Personalised suggestions and synchronized starring with desktop maps.google.com.

- Starred items are stored and synced automatically between Google Maps on your device and maps.google.com on your computer, making it easy to search for places you’ve searched for before.

- New night mode in Google Maps Navigation automatically changes the screen at night for easier viewing.

- Improved pattern-lock functionality.

- Improved handset audio when disconnecting a wired headset.

Look like the 2.1 update is the full version of 2.1
There are few function didn't include in our 2.1update-1.

Did anyone experience Alarm delay?
My Alarm rang at 8.37am but it was set at 8.30am.

Mine is local set ver.2.1.
*
I also have the same problem after i did a factory reset after update to 2.1. sweat.gif sweat.gif Before factory reset, it works fine for me.
It won't have the problem if you keep the screen alive.

I check alot of forum, it look like a common problem after update to 2.1

Hi..has anybody experience this..when I unplugged my headphone the music player automatically starts? Darns.. it's annoying!! hmm.gif
My milestone is an original set from Brightstar
*
This not just a bug for milestone, heard Nexus One also have same problem.
This only happen if you using third party music player.
The default player is the one who play music after you unplug the earphone.
2 solution:
1) uninstall third party music player, only use the default 1.
2) Clear the playlist in the default player, so during unplug the earphone, the default player want to play but also no song to play.

PS: Am I missing something? I still can't figure out how to make groups in the Contacts.
*
1.Sync to gmail contact, then maintain on Gmail.

Actually the group information got stored in your phone, just android 2.1 didn't show it out.

2.You need a 3rd party app to maintain the group contact.

I'm currently using the Contacts GroupU from the Market
