I was going to buy directly from Dell website too, but with the upcoming PC Fair, i'd drop by their Dell booth to see if i can squeeze out a freebie or 2 from them. I desperately need a mouse (have been using the trackpad all these years)!

Just got back from PC Fair. In case anyone's interested, there are 2 distributors selling the Dell SXPS 16 i7, both RM4,999 with 1 year Dell warranty.

One offering some 3D2N travel package, backpack + Nesh water filter. Not the usual freebies. Feels more to me like they're just dumping whatever they have into the freebie package.

The other one (3rd floor, the 1st booth on left of entrance) offering an 8GB pendrive, a backpack and a "hamper" that includes mouse, headset, cooling pad, mini USB hub and some laptop cleaning stuff.

4" size difference, plus WLED is white LED backlit, and RGBLED is red green blue LED backlit Have to see for yourself the diff between the 2 screens ^^

How do you categorize the sxps? entertainment or performance?

u think u can get better price and freebies by calling dell and bargain with him...i bought mine at retail shop in sunway pyramid, get 1 targus bag from them

faster? it's still the same. buying online got 1 more advantage is it will straight away reach ur door step while ordering from shop u need to go collect urself after the laptop arrive.the warranty they auto help u register 1, dont worry.

Figured they're not open yesterday since its 1st Jan. Gonna ring them up again tomorrow and ask if it has arrived. I sound all sweet over the phone, but when i'm at their shop in person, they're never gonna get the end of it from me, and my dad.

The first time i had my hands on one unit I was impressed by how slim it is considering the hardware it packs in. Glad i picked this over the MacBook. Hope to see you join the SXPS family soon!

Exactly how i felt when I was a potential buyer. Well, not anymore Doubt i'm gonna cancel the order. Just have to wait for the shipment to arrive, torturous as the waiting has been.

Where will you be getting your unit might i ask? Direct from Dell online?
