regarding the Audio thingy..

I've tried running dirt 2... with all low settings and native resolution... CPU usage was only around 75%.. GPU is around 80%.. with FRAPS reading 35 average

hmm.. does it means problem with the audio driver?

and about AMD overdrive.. how do you tweak the memory clock speed??
from everest.. the memory clock shows 666MHz.. i guess that optimum right?

im gonna try out windows audio driver and see how it goes..

even after uninstalling the driver.. and restarting.. still VIA driver is installed.. no idea how it got it.. i even deleted the driver from the computer.. the installation driver i mean..

hmm.. one weird thing i notice.. after the VIA driver installation.. CPU usage shoots up to 100% and doesnt go down.. had to restart..

i am unable to use the windows audio driver.. so i couldnt test out..

so far.. in dirt 2.. native resolution with all low settings.. i am getting average of 35 to 36 fps.. with memory overclocked to 570MHz..
CPU usage stays around 75% while GPU 80%...

well.. thats all i can provide.. does lowering the resolution help in utilising the GPU??

when on normal surfing and using not getting 667 eh.

hmm... so much about overclocking.. aiseh.. not easy to become an advance user..

i guess i'd better let it stay as it is.. afraid to smoke this lappy..

hmm.. meaning.. on 75% CPU usage.. is it normal?? i get the smoothness with all settings set to low.. with overclocked GPU memory speed.

could be due to hardware problem too... manufacturer's defect could be a problem..

i recommend timeline series too... performance wise with battery life..

4810tz or 3810tz or 1810tz.. depending on size.

1. Cool laptop does not depend on its brand.. it depends on whats inside a laptop.. ASUS has good ventilation design and design that does not make u feel hot with ur palm on the palm rest.. it does not mean its not hot.. its just that u wont feel it.. other laptop brands has a design that u would feel hot on the palm rest area..

2. that asus's system.. not for us to know.. hahaa.. but for k40/50ab.. the heat is dissipated at the rear end of laptop.. which u wont be touching it..

3. which brand cooler?? lolz.. u shud ask.. what specs of lappy is cooler.. well.. ASUS just does make u feel hot.

I've been eyeing on a 1810tz as my mobility lappy.. but the price is just very high..

im hoping to get benq s42.. heard it can reach around 4 hours on its GMA4500.. shud be true eh?? but drivers are problem for the lappy.. haha

well.. it should be a good choice eh in terms of gaming and mobility..

have you updated your bios?? the default bios has trouble in sleep mode..

u can always go to lowyat or digital mall.. look around..

saw K50ab with rm75 proc in midvalley's asus centre.. just for info to whos looking for it..

obtained from brochure?? it shud be Turion X2 RM75..

thats the new model.. yeah..

old models shud be Athlon QL64 or QL65

Added on February 9, 2010, 10:36 amu cant ask much from an AMD processor.. the lappy you are using.. i must say sucks badly at heat management.. u can feel the heat easily..

as for k40/50ab... the heat management i great.. u wont feel any heat at the palm rest area.. it might be hot but u wont be able to feel it.. most of the heat at dissipated to the back of the lappy..

btw.. u should read the first post.. it has everything there..

i can assure you k40/50ab will not have heat issues.. basically u wont feel heat on the palm rest..

i'd go for the 9600gt with amd.. lolz.. thats really a good one.. i'd go for that one.. yea.. ddr3 in 9600gt has faster clock speed compared to ddr2 4570.. whoa.. wonder what brand of lappy is that..
