Hi all... I just got my HD2 a few days ago, and I think I've hard-resetted it for about 7-8 times. After installing certain programs, I get that "A problem has occurred with services.exe" error, and end up losing my lock screen (the one with the slide-to-unlock). Any body encounter this? One example would be the 4x4 grid shortcut on homescreen, sure get this error. For me, I like that unlock screen...

I installed Sprite backup, and successfully made one error free backup file, but after making the backup file also get this services.exe error. Anybody else gets this problem?

My service.exe errors disappear too, but frustrated when it takes away my lock screen "....

Wow! You're right! I always thought the services.exe error makes the whole lock screen prog corrupted or sumthing... All part of learning hehe.... Thanks! Loving my HD2!!

Touche I agree totally... I prefer to get something when I have the feel for it, rather than wait impatiently. Convenience sake... after all, if there's something REALLY wrong, send back to SIS SC.

I installed FingerKeyboard v2.1, but under the config, the SMS name suggestion and Text Word suggestion is greyed out, and I think this makes T9 not able to work when using this keyboard. Anybody found a solution around this? The XDA forums mentioned about disabling XT9 globally, does this method work? Thanks!

I bought an Itech Clip D stereo headset, and successfully connected and use with my HD2. Installed Dutty's Cyberon Voice Dialer, but sadly when click on BT call button for voice dialing, it uses the HD2 mic n speaker for voice input instead of the BT headset input. Hope the good ppl at XDA finds a fix for this soon!

Thanks for the tips benn! So u're using the SSPL to change ROMs? Planning to change ROM too... Any idea where to get the original HTC ROM in case wanna change back? (Like for warranty or sumthing like tat... better be prepared for any crap that might happen )

Thanks for the official ROM Yes, bought in M'sia... If I do a reset with this in my SD card, it'll reflash the SPL too right?

I've successfully used SSPL to Topix 1.1.2.... startup all nicely, but after i restore with Sprite (Level 2 Restore), it hang at bootup Ah well... trial n error... trial n error... Time to HR again...

Edit: Hu hu hu ... looks like i can salvage my personal information (contacts, sms, etc.) but not my software... Better than nothing

Okay, I've got Topix 1.1.2 up and running... anybody found out how to add chinese support for them custom ROMs?

Edit: Ops... just found out that it really didn't work. Only worked after I installed CE Star. If I just install sunglobe, my SMS chinese characters still come out as boxes!
