QUOTE(hsyong @ Nov 27 2009, 01:20 PM) Yes, HD2 conforms to WinMo7 requirements.. but official upgrade, if provided by HTC, will probably be around end of 2010. By then, we'll be drooling over some other better devices I read of that article, but at another website. And there's a fine print under it that says this article should not be used in deciding whether or not to get the HD2 and they are merely passing on the news http://www.redmondpie.com/htc-hd2-to-get-w...pgrade-9140128/ |

Hmm got a weird crash. The phone still functions but not able to access any windows mobile apps except the ones accessible from HTC sense. Also unable to press on the power off hotkey to turn off the phone. Had to resort to a soft reset

Noticed the bitrate of the A2DP to be very bad when listening to songs via my stereo bluetooth. Added this in the registry :
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Widcomm\Plugin\AV] "LineSpeed"=dword:00000100 (decimal: 256) source : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.p...4&postcount=119 |

QUOTE(benny888 @ Nov 30 2009, 01:28 PM) Did you send directly via the Manila interface from homescreen ? . There seems a bug here ( reported by few at forum XDA ) but problem is it does not appear everytime ; so the security in SMS successfully send is not there. Yeap, I've been using the manilla interface to reply messages. Shall try your suggestions and check the outbox oftenSo far I do face this issue ONCE only 2 days ago when I was in Spore ; the SMS remain in outbox. After I reset, it was then sent out. I resend same SMS using below method and it was sent out immediately You can test again using the other interface: Select All Messages/Menu/New to compare . To be secure I always use this method to send new and reply SMS Another point : TO assure yourself the SMS is sent successfully, setup delivery report : All Messages/Menu/Settings/Options : Tick request delivery report |

Noticed the only way the SMS that's stuck in the outbox to be sent out is to send an SMS to another recipient.

QUOTE(benny888 @ Dec 1 2009, 10:05 AM) You mean sending a new SMS ?? Do you still face this issue sending using my tips not to use the homescreen interface ?? I avoided the homescreen interface to send SMS'es but it's still in the outbox. So what I did is I sent a new SMS to another person then the messages stuck in outbox was sent |

QUOTE(DrWho @ Dec 2 2009, 01:35 PM) Why do you all need to apply a screen protector onto the HD2. Reduce screen sensitivity or just to protect the screen? If it is to protect the screen, save your $$$$ and watch THIS. I'm concerned about the back cover actually not the screen itself. As for the screen, looking for one that reduces handprints |

Looking for a RSS reader, the stock RSS reader that came with the HD2 isn't that good as it doesn't download the images and only text.

QUOTE(winniechen @ Dec 3 2009, 04:08 PM) I am using the stock reader too, but I have no problems displaying images. I think it depends on the RSS feed of the sites or version (Atom vs RSS 1.0 vs RSS 2.0). The other option is to try this app - Speeed Reader which syncs up to your Google Reader subscription. It is finger friendly navigation. It displays images only if connected to GPRS/3G/Wifi. Im actually looking for one that downloads and caches all the images for offline reading. But have already found one http://www.freewarepocketpc.net/ppc-downlo...eed-reader.html |
