Conclusion, the newer models offer significant performance boost, at a higher price of course though hehe XD
Although normal users will already be fine with i7-2630QM.

Slightly higher clocks, not that you'll notice much differences in real life though..
However, the integrated Intel HD4000 GPU stands out for the Ivy Bridge i5 processors... its alot more powerful than the previous Intel Hd3000

I was very eager on the i5 (and i3) version of the S300 as well... but Lenovo Malaysia really messed it up by bringing in the lowest end model

Which models are you looking at?

I mean which particular notebooks are your comparing?
AMD APUs are only worth it in very budgeted notebooks (<RM1.9k) at the moment
