I'm using xilisoft converter ultimate too.
I always select general video -- > MP4 format --> video size 320 X 240 --> video quality lower --> audio normal

And I'm satisfied with it.

I didn't know the trick too.
If 320 X 240 the video size will be wide screen (stretch out) with black area at the top and bottom of the video.

I have tried many video converters and can say that Xilisoft is the best because all video format can be converted.
Some converter don't support certain video format.
But the con is Xilisoft is not free tho.

What is .ts and .tp video format?

Some popular video format that can't be converted by free software. Example: .FLV and .RMVB

Yes, it will incur data charges.

It's a known issue that the given pouch will scratch the phone. I doubt ncc will change for free. But let us know if you successfully argue with them to get it free. I would want to change my housing too.
