For AMEX Plat, is it possible to use the latest Maybank balance transfer scheme (12 months at 0%)??

Hello guys, I've try out this yesterday at Jusco Supermarket by using my AMEX platinum credit card, with the amount of RM37.95.  I  checked my

points thru M2U this morning, and it really provide 5x points.     

So next comming out, I will try out at petrol station, bookshop and cineplex, to comfirm the 5x points is available at these place by using the

AMEX platinum credit card.
But one thing I do not understand, when I called to the AMEX CS, they told me that AMEX plat cards are not entitled to the 5x points at those

places. 

can i upgrade from gold to platinum?

Since Amex Platinum Credit card also has 5x Membership Rewards points now, is it advisable to upgrade from Gold Amex CC to Platinum CC?

My main concern will be the RM 800 annual fee. Is it waivable just by calling Maybank Customer service?

My annual spending ion amex in not much. around 12-14k/year

i have no idea what the Amex CS is talking about because i received this mailer recently and it clearly states that platinums get 5x points. Please see the attachments. Taruh CS kau-kau.

Wow, if that's true, Amex Platinum charge and credit card can now enjoy 5x MR points (as what Amex Gold cc features) + 10x Platinum Partners!

I also think of upgrading my Amex Gold cc to Platinum cc after the 15% cash back has been credited into my account in full, if the AF can be waiveable and the bank is giving 10,000 points to offset the service tax.
It is only applicable to principal cardholders.

I received a phone call from service centre; offer me AMEX gold Ikhwan card (Maybank).

I just accept because its a card with lifetime waiver fees. I yet to received the card.

But, to think again, is it true that most retailers use Visa/mastercard facilities rather than AMEX?

I have a Visa, which so far is the best for me. If i received amex, I intend to terminate my VISA or vice versa...

Anyone can help me?

All right, i could say many retailer avoid AMEX facilities.

So, which transaction best for me to use AMEX? i think the costs that i will bear for that AMEX card is just the tax right? 50 per year or RM4.17 per month.
