I don't normally bother about cosmetics, but lately I feel that my skin is getting dry despite being very oily. It's itchy, feels stretchy and scaly. Very uncomfortable to the point it distracts me.

I'm 21 years old and currently using Sebamed. It used to be worse with clean and clear, now a lot better.

I also use a little bit of St.Ives exfoliating cream once every few days.
I apply some lotion as well

I also use toner, but the itch remains.

Blocked pores are also an issue.

From what I've read I'm supposed to be using a water-based moisturizer for my age. I would like to know what brand I should purchase.

I don't want to spend 200 on one bottle though. Very sakit hati laugh.gif. 30s are fine.

Yes I face the famous air-conditioning problem very often

I know ziltch about cosmetics even though I am a girl, so help me out here. Thanks laugh.gif

Maybe you should first determine exactly wat type of skin you have.
My friend recommend h20+ moisturizer.
I'm using Biotherm, and its really good.
And maybe you should get moisturizer that is oil-free (:

http://loewemyli.xanga.com/702653923/item/ Garnier Fresh 24hours Hydrating Cream

http://loewemyli.xanga.com/693983670/item/ Neutrogena Ultimate Moisture Day Cream

You can try this both they are cheaper.

I'm currently using Chanel Hydramax Active+ Gel Moisturizer. RM222 for 50ml but it's really good I'm using 2nd bottle already. It's really light, you wont feel anything on your face, non greasy non sticky too. helps face to stay moisture and hydrated all day long.

hey! You should try biotherm moisturizers. its great! and there's 3 ranges for different skin types. It costs RM140, but can last 3 months if you use twice a day, 6 months if u use once a day. you dont need a lot.
though it seems expensive, but its worth it and can last quite long.
i mean, rm140 divide by 3 months = 40+ a month.
you should really try it!
but first you should confirm if your skin is itchy due to dryness

Sales - go pm pls

TS - I think u must be rclxub.gif already with so many comments! I suggest you get opinion from counters sales, i personally love Clinque for the philosophy behind the research n it is more suitable to you in your age as compare to other big brands.

By the way, I think Amatiel@Oct 16 gave a good comment there. But I doubt if dryness is all u need to take care of right now?

have you heard of oily dry skin? oily skin can be dry too if you don't take care of your skin properly. you may try out hydration based product. if you are looking for a drug store product, neutrogena's hydration boost range is good. i don't really use neutrogena's products but this hydration boost range is good.. am using the toner right now. i will try out their moisturizer too

Hmm i think you got skin prob, it happen to me before itchy then scratch then got flake/scaly then the small spot seem to get bigger n bigger...and i got slight brown spot...

Then i did some research and found out a very cheap solution...Use EPSOM SALT (can buy this in organic shop bout less then rm4 per pack), wash ure face with yr usual cleanser, then scrub then salt on yr face...then wash it off....

After a while the itching stops, then the flaky skin even the brown spot gone...

Moisturiser wise i use La mer....

Basically epsom salt captures the moistures in the air n seal it in the skin.

ahh i have tried neutrogena's hydration boost range. it's really good!! i love it! the cleanser and toner plus the essence!! it's super hydrated and didn't give me any problem so far. not oily (since it's hydration), very hydrated. perhaps you can try out this range. it's in blue packaging. i recommended to my aunt to use their toner and essence too and she is very satisfied with the essence.

i am yet to try out their moisturizer because i am still using my old vitacream B12. anyhow, hydration is needed regardless of our age range.

Beauty ampoules are becoming a trend these days. Many people use ampoules as an addition on top of their existing skincare products such as a moisturizer. Treat that as a booster. As for your moisturizer, the best possible way is to trial and error the products as what works for others might not work for you as your skin might not be able to accept a certain ingredient/formula from that particular product. smile.gif
