What is the best android so far? is it HERO?

really?? I on my T-Mobile g1 and never had it rooted.

Where do I get more info on rooting? I'm still waiting for OTA updates on Donut. Not sure if TMobile Uk has issued it.

I'm really tempted to get the HTC hero, but I really loved the keyboard on my G1 !

of course the best android phone is HERO now ... the hero got 2 version sprint n the other 1 .. sprint looks ugly .. while the 1st edition HERO looks solid

but still Sprint alot faster than earlier version hero ..
better camera .. faster ... many more .. i read it before at gizmodo .. and still HTC hero is the best android phone yet ..

about Samsung I7500 galaxy .. i don think its reasonable to use .. tons of lack feature .. (read it at gsmarena)

* No multi-touch gestures
* No Flash support in the web browser (coming soon via the Open Screen Project)
* No DivX/XviD video support or a third-party application to play that
* No FM radio
* No Bluetooth file transfers (not without rooting)

The device will run Android OS and comes with the superfast Qualcomm QSD8250 Snapdragon 1 GHz CPU. Reportedly, the Sony Ericsson XPERIA X3 will feature HSDPA and Wi-Fi support as well as an integrated GPS receiver.

saw a HTC Tatto being sold for Rm1.3k. Singapore set. Tempting, but the small screen size and resistive touch screen is a real turn off. BTW HTC should price the Tatto more competitively to compete with the 5800.

We knew Verizon Wireless would soon be throwing caution to the wind in an effort to sway uncommitted smartphone buyers towards Big Red, and it looks like the November-bound Motorola Droid will be VZW's anti-iPhone. The spot, which launched tonight and can be view in its entirety after the break, is a 30 second clip that begins by mocking Apple's cutesy music and iconic font typically seen in iPhone plugs. It reels off a number of things that the iPhone can't do, and then abruptly goes into full-on tease mode by flashing glimpses of a robot-controlled future and a tagline that simply states: "Droid Does."

We’ve mentioned the HTC Dragon a few times over the past week or so, with the rumored 1GHz Snapdragon-based Android smartphone – aka the Android HD2 – seemingly promising to answer any complaints users had about HTC smartphone performance.  However, we’ve been yet to actually see the device in action; that may have changed today, with The Unlockr being sent some live photos of a mysterious, unnamed Android handset that could very well be the HTC Dragon.

Some new leaked info claims that the upcoming XPERIA X3 codenamed Rachael won't be called X3 as previously suggested. It's most probable name will be XPERIA X10 instead and its expected release is February 2010 - just in time for the MWC 2010.

Yea... can see in the source code... "Rachael" and "infinity"  (even the logo is infinity - the logo image has changed since my last post ). Probably name change again X3 >> X10 >> Infinity

The question is does this SE phone coming to malaysia on that date?

Mystery HTC Android Phone Appears, Discloses Nothing (Gizmodo)

We may have accused the HTC Eris – aka the Verizon DROID Eris by HTC – as having underwhelming specs this week (what can we say, we want some Snapdragon!) but according to the latest batch of leaks Verizon will at least be pricing it right.  gdgt’s Peter Rojas has heard from “a very trustworthy source” that the Android smartphone will be priced at $99 with a new two-year agreement, just half the price of the Verizon DROID by Motorola.
Meanwhile phoneArena’s sources have provided them with some new images of the DROID Eris, which confirm the 5-megapixel camera and WiFi.  There’s no flash, but the camera does have autofocus; previous rumors have tipped the handset for a launch on November 6th, alongside the Motorola DROID.

In case you haven’t noticed, the Eris specs line up perfectly with what’s on offer with the HTC Hero, the company’s current wunderfone.  That handset is selling for $180 on Sprint right now (again, with agreement), making it something of a bargain on Verizon.
