Konfirm Vkeong eated the wrong wan liao...
QUOTE(Ami Tsun @ Oct 10 2009, 01:35 AM) Katong Laksa, the original one memang no chopstick wan. Use the soup spoon, eat the thick beehoon and soup together- slurpppp.. All Southern M'sia including Malacca Wantan mee got chilli wan...well, actually my taste bud differ..I luv Mleka style wantan mee wth chilli giring added..It's a must to me..and when I 1st migrated to KL 2 decades ago...I became allergic to KL Wantan mee..How come no chilli giliing wan..Phailed liao....But there are 2 versions of Malacca wantan mee...the normal black wan & the light wan witout black source but wth shredded pork & oil + the wet chilli....This is my famous type..can't find anywhere except Malacca QUOTE Wanton mee - dried version comes with wet chili. If want something closer to home, ask for don't want chili, don't want ketchup, BUT black soya sauce with pickled green chili. The Cantonese Ah Pek at People Park Centre knows. QUOTE My "safe" food in S'pore -"mee hun koay". |
