i am grow up in johore, and go sg very often.
singapore food rocks! the falvour more original ingredient, less msg.
so if its fish soup, u get fish taste, not msg taste.
that why in sg there are so many good items like
bak chor mee kuay teow thng pai kut mee (soup) fishball/fishcake noddle cicken rice/ braise duck rice char kuay teow/char kuay - sweet and dark, the way it should be eaten! chwee kueh hokkien char heh mee fish porridge chili crab original resipi not the mini crab in msia
i am shy when u all compare, ours foods kalah teruk cos way too spicy and no original ingredient tasty!
u all beibu ppl taste butt cannot accept nanbu foods.

i personally grew up on clear soup noddles one, and so i go to sg, any hdb also got kway teow thng and all, fairly decent one. bak chor mee also staple diet for me in there.
if u like spicy, sorry la, perhaps m'sia food is d best.
those mainly old area food is usually good one like toa payoh/tiong baru or even in town, bugis area/ maxwell food court etc...
