Why has my device changed language after updating?
After an update, your Nokia device may restart in its native language. To change the language go to Settings > Phone > General > Phone language.

If your Nokia device was originally manufactured for use in another country or region, using Nokia Software Updater may revert the set of available device languages to the original language set.

If your preferred language is no longer available after using Nokia Software Updater, you may need to return your Nokia device to a Nokia Care point to have this language reinstated.

basically what they will do is to reset a code in the phone, set its designated country to be sold (to south east asia)
then update the firmware.

try go to ur nearest nokia service center first and see if they can fix it foc for u. have to gauge compare to going down to lyn (cost of transport, parking)

yup i went to the NOkia service center @ 1u, since it is AP, the CS asked me to go back to where i get the phone for warranty.
nvm, since i just started holiday, ok for me to spend my sunday doing this .

argh, dunno theres so many maps in my HP, which i also dunno which to use.

so far anyone using pouch like those n85, n95...etc... now market got the pouch for 5730 alr ?

gosh the phone is still new, need to wait half a month for chinese software, they even wanna charge me RM30 T_T.

ya got the pouch ald, but not all the place have. i walk the whole lowyat yesterday, got one in the 2nd floor, forgot the direction.
well, the pouch is nice, but quite tight, i scared it hurt my 5730 so i din get it. RM 50 one.

yesterday got one pocket for temporary.
thought of getting a silicon case, but the salesguy told me the current silicon case is very very lose.
tried it, really lose, but is suit 5730 for the sliding. if not because it is too lose, i should already have got it.

5730 dun have chinese software wan meh? urs is ori or ap?

usually aps dun have chinese as its originally intended for other countries, for example uk's vodafone, australia's 3.

pouch? go any pasar malam la.
around RM4 got, RM7 got, cloth one got, leather one got.
its of cos not made for the 5730, but it fits nicely so thats good enough.

So when will firmware update out? Spose to correct the processor speed and stuff right?

anything wrong with the processor speed?

i posted before a couple times.
but u can d/l anything like jbtaskman or whatever that shows processor speed, and it will show it as 192mhz.
i emailed nokia support about it, they gave some stupid general email that doesnt really solve anything.

i think it doesnt mean anything... proc speed is relative. sommore this phone is tweaked for battery saving i think thus cannot see the cpu speed properly.

but usually ap phone sellers or distributors will provide chinese software for free..cos last time when i bought my phone without chinese software,i will take back to the phone shop n they install it FOC

usually what they do is use a region changer to change the region code in the phone, then flash the firmware. can diy.. but i would pay rm30 for it.

now is rm1380! increase rm30.

anyone of you use the 3g for internet before ? i thinking to use the 1 day 500mb rm 8. is it fast enough ?
