anyone knows how to solve the problem i mentioned? whereby the message tone will sound after you try accessing telco menu?

I am so piss with MAXIS always no connection for web browsing....

Maxis really screwed up. even download their settings also charged me

i saw someone managed to get rm2100. Care to share where can i buy at that price?

most of the shops can sell it at this price but just they dont want and also want to earn more
u can try bargain with them (better go to a familiar shop) n ask for a lower price.
i bargained my satio from 2499 to 2300 when the phone just launched.

anybody knows how the FREE movies n games n mtv works?

i downloaded 1 game, 2 mtv, 1 movie..and i havent get any of them running.

1. download to pc
2. transfer to Satio
3. unlock n activated ( activation key will be sent to mobile phone)
4. wait and wait...NOTHING happened.
5. click back the files. it says Its activated. Code 100.
6. end.

Anyone found other bugs beside the telco menu? So far i feel the only downside of the new firmware is that funny bug.... overall the phone becomes pretty responsive

looks like the new firmware is out for our region, I havent updated it yet, but based on your comments i think im gonna refrain from updating to the latest firmware, and wait for the proper one that SE "claims" will be releasing in 2 weeks time

and as for your firmware bug findings as well as others here what i can say...its quite long so please bear with me..

i tried accessing the telco menu using *100# yup it only beeps before it pops up doesnt come up with the message tone, so yeah that does look like a bug..and im not on the new firmware so cant comments on the duplicating of the contacts

I had the same issue with the game downloads and the movie downloads, had to call SE Customer Service to get them to resend me the activation SMS for the downloaded stuffs, the number should be on the Entertainment Passport booklet, or alternatively you can log a case on the SE website

funny how you have issues with the themes with the old and the new firmware, Ive tried using all the standby themes (finger use, basic, full page and navigation bar) all works fine for me, as for the shortcut missing on the main menu after changing themes that you mentioned i think thats only for the Sony Ericsson theme specific and itll not be carried over to the other themes like finger use or basic as they would have they own unique shortcuts, and yeah the options button is available there and when i press it works fine no issues, phone doesnt restart and asks to change back to SE theme..

I noticed that rayzrblade has a Bordeaux Satio with no themes problems..Carol what color is your phone? i know it might be ridiculous to say that the color might affect the settings of the phone,

but ive read in certain sites that it does affect in a way..in a way that is..im using a Bordeaux Red Satio which doesnt have theme problem..what about you Darkmage? i think you use a Red Satio as well rite? any theme issues?

and as for the dictionary problem try to do a hard reset on the phone by pressing *#7370# and see if that fixes the problems? seems like some guys did it according to the forums is Esato and it worked for them, probably it might work for you? but remember to backup your phone as it restores it to factory default settings

did you restart the phone after the update? and probably you might wana try soft resetting the phone *#7870# if still issues then hard reset it y *#7370# backup first before doing ok?

my phone is quite fast as it is...ive seen the youtube vids of how fast the new fw works and to me it does look the same speedwise...

the bugs that i can report on my phone is related to the auto-rotate function!! damn thing always auto-rotates at the slightest tilts on the phone! had to turn off the functions as it really irks me,

another bug is with the slider lock function, where there is a noticeable lag from pushing down the slider to lock the phone to the phone actually locking, mine is about 2 secs, its not always but its very intermittent, does the new firmware solve both of the issues? please do let me know guys

Please dont get me wrong im not claiming that my set is better than yours but these are just my findings, and i really dont seem to encounter the issue's that you guys face when i try to simulate your issue's on my phone but please share if you guys do find any bugs so that we can test it out on our respective sets, if anyone is from Penang then please let me know so that we can meet up and give the Satio new firmware and the old firmware a right proper shakedown

as ive mentioned earlier im passing on this firmware update, as i worry i might just introduce newer bugs rather than fixing it and wait if there is going to be another proper release of firmware by SE...why fix it when its not broke?

but after a while..it beep again..lights turn red..and charge again..
seconds later..it beep again..turn green..
it goes on and on until i unplug...haha

lets just rest a while from all the buggy issues and enjoy a night shot taken with the superb 12.1MP camera.
To me its more like a camera with bluetooth and phone functions..

if the hard reset didnt work, probably you might want to try the repair function in the Sony Ericsson PC Suite first, sayang la send to SE to repair

and yes as for the proper SE firmware, i got unconfirmed report that the firmware that SE releasing is going to be the proper one with alot of functions probably with lower batt consumption

this new fw is just to fix the bugs something like a stop gap firmware,

can u teach me how to repair function in pc suite?
