Car damaged dents from car park barrier

So for those who had this incident, how did you solve it in the end? Just let it be and repair damages at your own cost?
My brother recently had this incident at MidValley - wanna know what his options are.. whether to threaten to sue or not. His car dented because of the pillar dropping down while he was entering the car park. |
