I don't think Astro should be blamed on this issue.

Astro is not the culprit or receiving end on the money, the money (broadcast right) will go to EPL eventually more money for EPL clubs, more wages increment for the players.

We are paying for the players's wages actually which has increase several fold over the last few years. The players wages simply sky-rocketing over the last few years as well as transfer fee.

higher player wages = higher sponsorship required(espn- in terms of broadcasting too)= astro pay more to espn = we pay more to astro.
