wat is white screen of death means?? it's consider as death pixel on d phone screen?

pls dun make others worry... actually all maxis iphone 3gs no matter wat batch, u can't manage to c ur cellular network menu.. cz all iphone in malaysia is distributed by maxis, so when they take the iphone from apple, they already set something on it.. to disable the menu. (tis is wat i heard) bt it's nt means tat ur phone is locked. by disable the cellular network menu, one can't view or change their apn cz it's auto set to maxis carrier. unless u change ur simcard to other carrier (eg.. digi or celcom). by tat time ur menu will shown.

tat's y u heard alot of cases tat even those who sign up for data plan or contract ivalue.. their bill shoot up to a few hundreds.. tis is because iphone is such a smartphone.. will cause u to use up ur data even when u r on wifi.. (when ur wifi signal is weak) thn it will auto route to ur data without u noticing it.. unless u enable the cellular menu n change ur apn. (enable the menu doesn't mean we JB the phone. two different things).. once again.. wat is the point of changing the apn since most of the ppl who use iphone/smartphone to on9 everywhere. unless u dun plan to sign up any data plan..

hope tis clear up some of the queries n doubts tat u guys encounter lately..

telco carrier logo is change by ourself (using the step provided in tis forum). it won't show until u copy the file thru itunes into ur phone. u mention tat it show digi n can change the apn?? since u say can change so ?? i dun really get wat u mean tho

i kno wat the use of apn... my phone gt show up the cellular network data menu (tat list out the data apn n mms apn) after i put my carrier logo. hw can u can't try on it when u haven't gt ur phone to put the file??

Added on December 22, 2009, 12:30 pmof cz they won't tell u tat u can change the APN... (they work under Maxis) definitely they wan customer to buy the phone wif their package rite? in fact my phone come wif APN disable as well.. means tat u won't be able to c the cellular data network menu.

I keep on repeating d same answer.I think u still dun get wat I mean tho.I mention earlier in my previous post.only when u use maxis iPhone cellular network menu will b disable.other telco won't cz in Msia iPhone is distribute by maxis n they ask apple 2 disable d apn 2 auto apn.since most of d customer oso use maxis package.they no need 2 change apn unless outright purchase.only when u use maxis line thn ur iPhone haf 2 set d telco logo und?I hope tis clear ur doubts

r u using ivalue 100?? if yes, u can use the data once ur line is activated. it will auto deduct the data tat u use.. if u change from old maxis plan to ivalue, dun immediately use it as maxis won't update tat fast. u will jz end up having a big surprise on ur bill charge.. btw, maxis won't inform or msg u regarding ur free data

huh? i din kno tat prepaid plan gt free data.. as i kno only when u subscribe to ivalue (it comes wif free data) or idata (u subscribe to data plan only).. from wat i kno, prepaid dun haf free data. when u on9, then it will charge by pay as u use (1MB=RM10). so better check properly b4 u.. else ur $$ will fly out like crazy..

ic.. mayb alot of ppl opt for prepaid n cause maxis can't earn much..

is still the same.. no matter ur phone is outright or contract. if ur line is maxis then the menu won't show. to make it simple..

use maxis line=menu won't show
other telco line=menu show

my phone is outright purchase oso n i use maxis line. the menu won't show. thn i haf to install the ipcc file to enable the menu show.

u no need to JB ur phone to haf the telco logo. but there are some ppl who like to JB their phone so tat they can access into the system... n do alot of stuffs..

went to Gardens for warranty during lunch time n i ask whether iphone gt any ready stocks, the CS told me tat the haf for 32g.. bt nt 16g.. encounter CS there nt really good.. when u buy phone, good to u bt when u go for warranty or probs wif ur phone, service way down to the drain

i think they haf. jz dunwan inform customer only. i think they keep a few stocks for everyday purpose. after the stocks for the day is finish sold thn they will inform customer no more stocks. tis is wat i guess cz on 23 dec, some of the ppl mention tat gardens no more stocks. when i go on 24 of dec, inquiry on the phone, it has stocks.. if they really no more stocks.. where the the stocks on 24 dec??? is another trick from maxis i guess..
