I just noticed in singapore recently that the iphone which is naturally paired with a mobile service is no more since epicentre in singapore which is the retail outlet for mac products are now able to sell unlocked iphones without a need for a mobile contract.

Is malaysia the same or is maxis the only king with a monopoly on iphones?

but now in singapore, you can buy an iphone 3GS from a normal retail mac store, both 16GB and 32GB available with warranty and are unlocked.

Sing 1040 for the 16GB and 1240 for the 32GB model coz i just went down to a mac retail store to browse their stuff.

Thanks. I checked with the MEP in Kinta City Ipoh, they had 32GB but apparently all were booked. I was going to order then the guy tells me that they only accept citibank credit cards (I want to use the easy payment scheme.) Need to check with the Maxis Centre in Ipoh, hope they have available stock.

Anyone get the feeling that maxis is purposely holding back the 16GB to push the 32GB sales? Using a combination of "Hey the 32GB is so popular we're specially ordering even more" style ads & down playing how many people actually want the 16GB?

Oh well, I was going to get a 16GB but since the 32GB is the only available I'll get that. Rather have an iPhone today for a little bit more than an iPhone in 2months for a little bit less.

Can't decide whether to get 32GB black or 32GB white?

White probably a better idea, can't see the finger prints on the back of the iPhone. I remember when I got my PSP and it was black and I spent everyday wiping that thing. I spent more time wiping it then i did playing it. What do you guys think?

Also wondering about what sort of case to get with it, any suggestions?
