QUOTE(Urban @ Oct 20 2009, 03:35 AM) i just got to say that maxis is over using their right to sell iphone. They are selling iphone to company like toyota for toyota give out for free. And because of that end user like us who want to get 1 is not able to get 1.THis sucks no it doesn't . corporate users like us only need to wait for 1 week the most. got mine in 5 days This post has been edited by Mackiddo: Oct 20 2009, 10:31 PM

QUOTE(Urban @ Oct 21 2009, 12:42 AM) that my point.End Users are left out for company and corparate users Corporate users will have priority, if not we will jump telco. almost 1/4 of the employees using iPhone, so it's kinda norm here. Best part is one of my colleague got his iPhone in 4 days and the telco called him up the next couple of days to arrange for a delivery of the phone ! Even after telling them he have received it, they called again in another 2 days and tell him his phone is ready for delivery. Told him don't reject the phone if they called the 3rd time. QUOTE(chernloon @ Oct 29 2009, 04:12 PM) I just give a called to orange...and as what i has expected, now they said they dont even know when can deliver the phone, instead of the 1-2 months waiting as they promised when i made the booking under prepaid plan. maxis center doesn allow them to give the phone to prepaid booking, and they dont have stock now prepaid users are consider lucky if they could get it within 6 months after booking

QUOTE(Urban @ Oct 29 2009, 06:06 PM) then wtf do they allow hotlink booking??idiots you got do ur reserch?? Iphone 3gs is not even out for more than 6 month. some of them already got their phone with hotlink package. i was merely saying it took months to get an iphone on prepaid plans. of coz i knew it's out for less than 6 months ... some of them, maybe lucky ones got it .. but it's far too few, judging from the comments posted here. Added on October 29, 2009, 10:22 pmQUOTE(jlstriker @ Oct 29 2009, 06:18 PM) Finally i got a call from hotlink dealer and told me my unit has arrived!! im gonna collect it after work! today is 59th day of waiting! btw maxis credited RM30 to my number to apologize. kedekutnya....so little they could easily take it back X10 ... since their monthly data plan calculation is in a mess This post has been edited by Mackiddo: Oct 29 2009, 10:22 PM

I think outright purchase of the iphone is not an option because under the agreement with Apple, Maxis is suppose to give Apple a cut from the plan ppl are subscribing as well. It's not 'officially stated' but that's the way you get 'exclusive rights' from Apple.

QUOTE(PeeEl @ Nov 21 2009, 01:46 PM) There is no negotiation, mate. It's take it or leave it. However, if you happen to know some big gun in Maxis, then it's a different story. or corporate users

Maxis should really be telling ppl the waiting period is anywhere between 3 months - 6 months and let the ppl decide if they wanna be in the waiting list, instead of giving ppl false hope. That way, ppl would be happy if they received it around 45 days or so, since they have been told to wait 3-6 months instead of telling ppl it take 1 month. QUOTE(mikej1899 @ Nov 23 2009, 02:25 PM) if that's the case, e-mail a complain letter to maxis hq and state what u just told me (without the ^&**^%^&). state the name of the staff that speak with u and tembak him gao gao. tell them that u dun like being left hanging around there and wait to be called. and would wish only to get a simple update. as if they care. one click and the email end up in 'trash' folder

QUOTE(Kain_Sicilian @ Dec 2 2009, 03:36 PM) HOwever I read here that corporate users get priority in getting their Iphones, which is confusing to me. How do they purchase it? Under what plan? Thanks in advance. I think our company have an agreement with the telcos many years back, so once a while the telcos will roll out some new phones. Handset are heavily subsidized, some up to 50% of open market value. The same goes for the plan. We choose whichever plan that are open for public that we want but only paying maybe 25% of the plan cost. Best part is they delivered the phone personally to our office. As for iPhone, it'll normally take less than a week to be deliver. Got mine in 3 days ...
