yea very bad...but we should check the lens b4 paying. Sometimes it is hard for the seller to take the responsibility because he might think that u dropped or did something to the lens

QUOTE(vcxv @ Oct 20 2009, 06:13 AM) happy deepavali!! or am i too late already?? why not use ur built-in white card to fill in the eye shadow.anyway.. trying some slow shutter pics last week.. since i'm still noob, i think i need to do better next time around.. its harder to get sharp pictures.. or is it my lens? ;p anyway.. kutuk n komen are very much appreciated » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « i learned something at least.. dont rely too much on bouncing flash... most pictures end up with dark eyes.. so need to be more attentive next time |

QUOTE(ieR @ Oct 20 2009, 07:10 PM) Spooky: ahhh Good instruction~~ thts the max flash sync speed with AutoFP(HSS equivalent) off..with that high Speed...u need very high ISO to get good exposure. Otherwise, ur flash wont have enough power to give out high intensity of light to light up ur object tht fast. My d90 with AutoFP on can reach my maximum shutter speed of 1/4000...with good exposure (without stressing the flash) at ISO 1800... ALso need to see the distance away from ur subject.but i do it a little diff, i will use Smode lock it to the shutter speed i wanted, check both F on subject and background, see the differences, then only decide the amount of power of flash to use (manual flash thou) and ND filter blocks out flash power too *btw, diff body has diff DRO (other brand has other diff Dynamic Range algorithm) prehaps maybe other brand is better, or just that the entry level of sony is crappy. also, yes u are right what DRO suppose to do, but in this case, the DRO in most camera dont work like what u saided. mmm i need to find the article out, i believe there is one that writes how the DRO process the image. worst to worst, i will spend whole night trying to 'make the graph' how it work. but generally, DRO brighten up the photo, it does not darken it~ FYI, HSS still trigger flash even at 1/1000SS, but the real max SS for HSS is only 1/250 with SSS off. the 1/160lock is because u turn ur flash to bounce (thank albnok clarify this to me 3 day ago) so, ur result will be inconsistent passing 1/250, and the light may not even reach the subject properly (making the flash build in metering goes a little haywire, thus inconsistent) there are people who claim D3x HSS goes up to 1/2000, but the last time i read the instruction book of D3x (go google it) it quote 'HSS support up to 1/250' But still, YES, it still may trigger pass 1/250... |

lol...ok...u justified yourself.. haha..
get another f42 or cobra or the mini f20 to play wireless flash. Added on October 21, 2009, 1:06 am QUOTE(lwliam @ Oct 21 2009, 01:01 AM) hahahha, i was just pulling ur legs with the light speed thing, yeah, its from the circuitry in the flash to calculate and execute the amount of power needed to be able to keep the image properly exposed... In University must reference!! HSS - How it works Recall that in "standard" flash mode, the flash output is a very brief pulse, usually much shorter than the shutter speed. As flash engineers worked on ways to produce ever-faster stroboscope flash modes (many pulses per second for stop motion sequences or disco dancing), they realized they could pulse the flash thousands of times per second to produce an essentially continuous beam of light (for brief periods). So in high speed sync mode, the flash fires continuously, many thousands of times per second. All these pulses of light essentially merge together into one long "pulse" that stays on the entire time the shutter is open. This is a lot of work for the flash to do; but it only has to do it for very short periods of time (i.e., less than the standard sync speed, such as 1/200 sec or less). So in high speed sync mode, the flash stays "on" for the entire time that the shutter is traveling across the frame. There's no longer a problem with parts of the frame blacking out behind the shutter curtains as they sweep across the frame. Now you can use fill flash at shutter speeds of 1/8,000 second! im too lazy to paraphrase that... P. Ralph., 2006. High Speed Sync for flash at any shutter speed, http://www.rpphoto.com/howto/view.asp?articleID=1026. im bad at referencing too This post has been edited by AlphaBeta: Oct 21 2009, 01:06 AM |
