You should ask SC to adjust it. Mine have a clear cut line that is just right. Usually the left one should be higher.
*

but dunno... why still got car flashing me.. den i will flash back them..lolx..
actually i got ask b4... they said is normal setting.. if wanna adjust will too low...

195/55 R15 tires will cost around RM180/pc up to RM300... for normal to UHP tires...
what do you want on ur ride???
nothing much there bro no worries except if you have funny noise...
any car will have that problem if there is a heavy load behind la... if ppl start to flash at u then ppl is stupid even the Xenon lights is brighter than urs... or others "White" light also, just ignore it...
it is the V Belt noise... tell the SC if need change it, it will solve the problem...
*
Xenon lights=.=" lolx...
tats really brighter lar bro~~ haha....

btw... im thinking to change my rim... do u guys think 15 or 16 better? or both no much different? how about tires? im newbie with tis.. any advise?

well good 15" tires will cost around RM180 to RM300, while 16"/17" tires will be around RM230 to RM400... where it is a wide RM50/tire gap there if you don mind u can change to 16" or 17" rims... the tires of 16"/17" is not that big difference though... 205/50 R16 or 205/45 R17 is good for you... if u wanna stick to 15" try out 195/55 R16... smile.gif
of course 15" give you more comfort while not bad on handling, but 16"/17" will be better in handling but suffer on comfort... ur choice
not really la... they use Semi Syn... Mineral engine oil is a lil thicker 20W50 where protection to the engine is more... but ours is newer generation of cars so 10W40 engine oil is good enough... but it is slightly more expensive lo... and it last a lil more...
for 20W50 normally ppl advice around 5000km change, 10W40 is 7000km while the Full Syn 5W40 is around 10k km... so it is ur choice... cos better interval change i think full syn is better coz it save u all the fuzz of changing oil after 5k km... and the time it need... you can roll back from Full Syn or Semi Syn to 20W50 (Mineral) engine oil anytime but not the opposite direction... it is still owner's choice... i still use 10W40 for my SEG 5AFE engine... smile.gif
*
erm... not really understand about:
15" give you more comfort while not bad on handling, but 16"/17" will be better in handling but suffer on comfort?

15 mean comfort n gud handling? but 16 will suffer on comfort? why? @.@
btw i think i only will go for 16, getting japan rim..
btw thx for advise~~ ^^

1 full tank about RM65 with around 80% city drive can last you around 400~450km...
highway drive from Subang to Ipoh with smooth driving around 1/4 tank and 1 full tank can take u thru and flow from JB to KL (all the way highway)... my fren done 600km b4 with 60% city and 40% highway with very light right footed, so depends... for me mostly can get 13~15sen/km or 12~15km/l kua...

Added on February 22, 2010, 2:57 pm
bro the tire profile does give you some pro and cons... lower profile tires (less rubber on the side wall) means lesser flex on the tire during cornering so it gives you better control on ur car's body roll, but it will be a but bumpy lo when you go thru some bumpy road... higher profile tires will give you a lil more comfort coz the side wall of the tires is higher... so it helps to absorbs the bumpiness on the road... but it depends on ur ride suspension and also tire side wall hardness also...
tell us what you do wan with ur ride??? comfort or handling??? then ur budget on tires... coz 16" or 17" tires 1 round change will cost you more than RM1000 for good tires...  i always tell ppl work between ur budget not as if you buy cheap tires it will risk ur own life...
*
erm...
i wan change rim coz i wan better handling n of coz confort.. dun like the riding horse feeling~~
budget around RM2k, either 15 or 16 i will pick, any advise? thx agian~~ ^^

if you still wan to retain the comfort try out 195/55 R15 tires with a 15" rim... 16" is a bit low profile already since you did not want to sacrifice the comfort too much...

try out Michelin PP2 for better handling cos it's side wall slightly harder than others... with ur Vios suspension i think it works well... if u dare not to gamble the comfortness try to Toyo T1R or DRB... but this tire will be a lil noisier compare to PP2 coz it is directional, in general Directional Tires tends to be noisier than Non-Directional Tires... smile.gif

Comfort - Yokohama C Drive, Michelin Primacy LC, Falken 912 (all Asymmetric)
Performance with Comfort - Hankook V12, Toyo T1R, Toyo DRB (all Directional) Michelin PP2, BS Adrenalin RE-001 (all Asymmetric)
*but both PP2 and RE-001 have harder side wall, for me Vios ride a bit soft so this 2 might give suits u... and i used 3 sets of PP2 b4 from 185/55 R15 & 195/55 R15

skip Continental CC-1, BS MY-01, GY NCT5/Excellence/Assurance also...

these tires should cost you less than RM1100 (4 pcs) if you change ur rims and tire together... u might have another 400 to play around coz u trade in ur rims and tires, hence ur rim & tire budget should be around RM2400 kua...
*
erm... not really noe about all product u write at here...
so for ur suggestion is PP2 and RE-001?
btw if 16" wat can i get? if i dun care much about comfort? but dont so uncomfortable la =.="
thx agian~~

16" is a lil oversize for you my fren... cos 205/45 R16 might not give you the comfort u want... but 205/50 R16 is a lil over size for you... so 15" with 195/55 R15 PP2 is nice bet for you... smile.gif
looks like you are undecided also comfort and handling... u cannot get both in 1 time...

so my advice is 195/55 R15 this will not give you hard burden on the shoulder for next change and further more it does not hurt the original comfortness too much with a lil increase of handling response... coz 16" tires will not be cheap more than RM1000...

remember members, Cheap tire does not have the quality of expensive tires... treat tire as ur shoe and it is helping to ur 1.1 tonne monster to grip on the road with the combination of contact patch about 3 A4 size paper only, so once it skid in the wet it throw the 1.1 tonne monster uncontrollable and during high speed it might kills...
*
ya, i havent decide yet... coz i doesnt noe wats the feeling... erm maybe i try find some fren car which using 16" to try see ^^
i noe tires ar important... tat y i looking advise from u... specially wet drive.. very scary... coz had those experience b4... car spining on highway juz coz of water on the road... but lucky no bang..

PP2 is ur choice... FYI u cant try other cars than Vios (same gen with urs)... that should give you the approximate feeling if you try Honda sure out already because it's own suspension setup is harder than Toyota already...
for your Vios 2nd Gen i still recommend 195/55 R15... 16" is no for ppl which prefer to has comfort ride...
for easy reference all 50 and below is not comfort tire, all 60 series and above is comfort tire, 55 series is some what in between so u can get comfort with performance tire... smile.gif this is a general way to see...
*
okie, i got it~~ understand~~ i will go n check it~~ thx for ur advise n suggestion bro~~! ^^

THE different between 1st Gen & 2nd Gen acceleration is different cause both car throttle control unit is different.
Exp. 1st Gen use steel wire type - can feel more direct power.
2nd Gen use Drive by wire - initial when step on the gas there is some delay or less responsive.
*
ya~! agree wit u~~
2nd gen will hav delay slow responsive after u hit the acceleration, is about 1 second like tat.. is danger when we nid the power at the moment to push our car to take over car.
but some how u can do wit D3 to boost up faster abit..

its ok to be water fish... every 1 sure got 1 or 2 time kena...

as long as dont rush in to buying something....

If you looking for performance & comfort go for 15" u will be surprise with the performance.

price for ps3  15" is between 230~250 but for 16" saw some member post price at 400...

some time getting rims and tire in the same shop the deal maybe mix cheap rim expensive tire or expensive rim with cheap tire...

for the rim the best deal i know for 15" is less then 1k per set ....and 17" per set will be less then 2K...go window shopping tire shop... get some idea 1st...
*
i see u guys discuss about ps3 15" so i wondering.. erm
is tat much different wit 15" n 16" using same ps3 tire? other than ps3 which tire will do comfort+performance?

i go for some shop asking price after trade in my ori rim+tire they say still nid to pay around 1.5k if im gonna take 16"
erm... any idea or recommend?

trip to starbuck genting can... if on slow pace can.. but when got ppl like to play corner... i worried u guys have a hard time follow our pace...
wira on titan is more easy to setup point 1 is chassis weight distribution is better then vios and another is rear camber and toe can be adjust

where else vios chassis weight is lighter and rear suspension is pre fix... with torsion beam setup... so hard to setup... haha

Added on April 22, 2010, 10:19 pm

if u go 16" and the tire profile go lower ... in performance basically cornering respond is more sharp and comfort ride is reduce. our car is only 1.5 no point install big wheel size need more power to push...
*
so erm... if mean actually go for 15" is more than enough rite?
coz i aso got consider about the tire too.. coz tire arent cheap aso... erm...
if 15" any nice rim intro? wit tire? which i more prefer on performance n comfort..
btw i stay in kapar... but not really noe about those tire shop... so would like to tat advise from u guys... XD

if u wan new wheels go for advanti ultralight series or Enkei RPF1... light weight wheel offer better performance compare to stock 15"
if budget ok maybe u can consider forged process wheels this type offer more lighter weight...
since u from kapar ... go klang town ... window shop around then see who offer what and who ....dont  rush..
*
how much will cost? mean around how much? if taking tat rim u recommend me..

bro that is CKD by Naza la so cheaper...
that Potenza RE080 is not that grippy and it does not carries the performance range like others Potenza series... disappointed... MY-01 (traction B) by BS is another bad tire, but u can see a lot of ppl using coz it carries the name of BS...
huge does not means it is UMW branch smile.gif FYI there is a lot of franchised 3S center now... so better go back to those own by UMW Toyota or Toyotsu... better...
well bro 15" and 16" tires has a huge gap.. PS3 15" is around RM250 (promo rate) but 16" is around RM400, RM150 different....
even Hankook V12 195/55 R15 is around RM200 but 16" is around RM280...
but of course 16" give you better grip in the corners, still it depends what tire u wanna use... comfort level of course 195/55 R15 will give you better ride now as bumpy as 16" (205/50 R16 or 205/45 R16)... if you buy light weight rims i think ur engine still able to move the wheels without extra effort but it will give you some contrast performance too like FC might be higher, slower Acceleration, increase of tire noise, poorer hydroplaning resistance.... of course those points is a bit subjective to individuals but i see not much value to increase ur tire and rim size to 16", same as my older model....
same goes to the suspension system, individual preference, like bro Vios2002's lowered ride and paired with 195/55 R15 tires working nicely with the Titan shocks and lowered front spring also... and i like my stock NCP42R suspension setup cos i don want sitffer ride, but i might upgrade it in d future to lowered the ride (better handling) but try to retain the ride comfort...
if you pair ur wheels and suspension system nicely i don see any floating sampan at all smile.gif
bro all the Vios is modded one or not... if my stock Vios goes with u all i scare malu only... blush.gif
*
so i better stay on 15" enough, juz like wat vios2002 said car is only 1.5 no point install big wheel size need more power to push which will decrease the FC..
so on 15" rim, erm tire PS3 hankook Yokohama still got other? which is more suitable for me?
wat i nid is comfort n gud in cornering which is dun still like floating sampan... haha... thks agian for reply my msg.

how about toyo? the ps3 alittle bit hard is on which part? btw thx for advise~! ^^

This part i dont agree with u, Acceleration is better then stock if 15" or 16" use forged wheel compare to stock is using 15" cast wheels... this due to u need less energy to move = more faster respond ... tire noise and hydroplaning is  depend on tire not rims ...

there are stock member ride coming too... just meet new friends...
Main idea of this TT is convoy drive together and NOT RACE TO THE PEAK But if got member do that we cant stop it too Safety come 1st.
For Titan vios07 model will be RM 2.6K per set include installation with 2 year warranty and free 2 time shock service

Just bring your Vios then can join If new car not read also can join ... get to know each other and new friend...
*
wow 2.6k per set? so nid to get 2 set? gosh... very expensive.... doh.gif

Go for PS3...for average user that want good tire respond and grip... other brand will be YOKO S-Drive, Toyo performance is so so... if budget is ok go for R1R sure no regret comfort reduce but grip is AD07 and abit slower then AD8

dont see the price gap a little different like RM20 per tire but performance is more then 30% diffrent.
Just spend the 2.6K 1st then slowly fill up the hole in the pocket.
for vios07 Tien they only offer basic coilover and this suspension use twin tube technology respond is abit slow compare to Titan use Invert Monotube Technology... twin tube suspension got few disadvantage (Google for more info) as compare Invert Monotube disadvantage is price.

Titan Address is correct.

TRD sportivo suspension use Twin tube and this is a entry level for suspension upgrade, cost is about 2k plus
So far for Vios07 only 2 car install....now not sure.
*
so mostly go for ps3 or R1R? how much is tis tire? for 15" thanks for advise~

for PS3 max price is RM250 and R1R price around RM340 this 2 tire offer different grip level ... as toyo have the upper hand on better grip if continue to push and more heat is apply... if u try on Extreme grip level tire like AD07, AD08, RE01R, R1R, KU-36, RS-3, RS sport... this few tire perform like glue on the tarmac when in corner.
*
i think ps3 is enough for me... coz is not cheap to change the tire... n i not tat hardcore to push my car on cornering.. mostly normal tire wit 120km hav no problem.. i guess ps3 will be much more stable than ori tire..

James if you want cheaper and nice performance tire which is more comfort then you should try Hankook V12 Evo although the stock is low but you can give it a try at RM200++, it's performance as tested in 215/45 R17 with Opel Corsa it beats quite a numbers of competitors including Toyo T1R and Yokohama S Drive...

Bro Vios R1R is too much for us la... max category is ok already as we drive in normal days also, those Extreme series is not that good in wet and most of us is not expecting to drive less than 80km/h in rain...
well i started with 33 PSI in front and 32 PSI at the back... but now i put 34 PSI in front and 32 PSI at the back it handles better...
for me it is not bumpy even though my NCP42R has harder suspension setup than urs... the tire pressure is very individual preference lo, try it about 33 PSI in front and 31 PSI at rear 1st then increase 1 PSI every week to try... if you fine it is a lil hard then lower back to last week setting...

* Remember tire pressure should be monitored every week and you should not drive more than 1km to ur nearest point it pump/check ur tire pressure... if more than 1km u should add in 1~2 PSI to compensate the hot air expansion in the tire... normally i add another 2 PSI... lastly do ur tire pressure checking and add in more pressure in the morning not afternoon or evening...
*
yalor, even raining i still drive around 100-110km/h but not on cornering...
about the tire i think i getting 15" size.. since i gonna change to 15"rim... is more than enough for me daily use...
juz wanna let my car be more stable not like so call sampan when driving only...
