toyota vios is not a bad car... but handling it suck.. i have 3 toyota cars in my house and 1 korean suv so far, my oldest car is toyota camry year 03, going to be an 8 years car soon.. dont really have major problems (touch wood), vios year 08 going 3 years, also nothing for now and a toyota harrier year 06 but reg in year 09 from naza world.. nothing as well.. the replacement part is not tat expensive if u go outside from SC to service or change part... and it is easily source.. most of my friends r driving vios, some r older gen... so i dont see any reason u would not love it.. welcome u in advance to join us..

redx, no comment QUOTE(kelvinlys @ Nov 8 2010, 02:22 AM) Guys. Anyone have any site that have reviewed the vios? Im interested in the 2006 facelifted vios. Actually still thinking vios or city. Both 1 generation older. But i heard city's hill cruising is hard. But based on paper, city's torque n hp is more than vios. Means vios's hill cruising is even worst? Sorry guys. Really need ur opinions. Thanks in advance. it is because of the sluggish 7 speeds GB? i heard most city previous gen and another gen earlier than previous gen, both have GB problem... cost of the GB for new about RM20k.. how much vios 06 facelifted cost now? if u were to get second hand, y not get new vios with lower spec?

QUOTE(kenji1903 @ Dec 7 2010, 04:29 PM) not me, my wife, she do sales one, highway, construction sites, muddy roads, small roads, bumpy roads... I see. if she drive alot, premacy LC wear tear too fast. but since vios is light. should be alright.. u can get lesser tire noise but engine noise still noticeable QUOTE(shinjite @ Dec 7 2010, 09:26 PM) 1st gen VIOS.... Currently 420km covered and left 3 more bars to go Hopefully can hit 600km confirm can.. my friend did it with ron97... P/s: tukar vios 1st gen?

i only push to N and pull the hand break when the car is fully stop. new vios not like the old vios, old vios have the something to press at the gear knob. when u push from D to N, it wont hit R cause there is something to block it. unless u press the knob button and push...

but there is some review about new vios dont suit to use k&N filter... maybe because the filter element is oil based which trap those micro dust.. then the oil stain might trap in the throttle sensor.
anyone know where can i get throttle body or sensor clean up? toyota car also but not vios

i heard some review for toyota cars, the throttle body or sensor cannot simply be service because too sensitive. if u clean and wipe it off with cloth.. later the cloth tread stuck there.. it might affect the car... tat y my 7 years old++ camry never do it before... time for some major touch up...
i feel my current vios condition not smooth especially press the gas pedal.. the rev like dont want to higher... possible to be engine oil too dirty or not lube enough?

recommend not to do so to remove the battery... it will affect the idling.. if u dont remove and ur car cant start.. just jump start it.. and then drive it around or change another battery while the car engine is running...

QUOTE(Xing Fang @ Dec 14 2010, 08:30 PM) ???? if u dont remove and ur car cant start???? then find another car to jump start it... get a SUV or Big sedan to jump start... easier to start... the battery may not have the power to start the car but it still manage to keep the setting about the idling... i have tried to kept my car for 2weeks ++ without starting it... still no problem...

QUOTE(shchiam1978 @ Jan 17 2011, 03:44 PM) Need some assistant here. bump to someones car and my fog light went inside oledi, look like it's broken. I ask the shop and they say around 220. Is the price reasonable? Another thing is, when i switch on my air cond, come out sourish smell but for a while only. What could that be? Car model: 1.5G 2006 model. Location: cheras Thanks everyone aircond filter too dirty? QUOTE(Dickong @ Jan 17 2011, 09:31 PM) Anyway, i have just change to Philip crystal vision for only RM200/set, very satisfy becos stated its white but actually is yellowish white like my head lamp Osram night breaker H4 n very bright, wider focus n higher beam. The only worry is scare the fog light plastic might melt becos its quiet hot. Question wonder why my H11 crystal vision is only 4100k instead of 4300k as seem on lwn member selling. can shows us some pics?
