QUOTE(felisa0529 @ Jun 1 2010, 02:12 PM) Guys, Can anyone help me>my VIOS is heading towards roadtax and insurance renewal by this JULY 2010. However, due to other financial commitment, i am not able to renew 1st party insurance, My Questions of the day: 1. Can i renew the insurance to 3rd party? 2. Would Ma***nk allow me to do such as my outstanding loan with them is stiill much i.e. around 89k 3. Can i just get a new geran at JPJ and bring it to other insurance company? Appreciaite your views so much guys. Thanks. Your question 1 is of course no becos your banker will not allow you to change to third party, your 3rd question is even more problematic. firstly tell us how are you going to get a new geran from jpj without all the documents. QUOTE(travis_ckf @ Jun 3 2010, 02:40 PM) I found out that usually the 1st bar will last at least 70km but usually its around 70-90km at best. I do found petronas fuels has the poorest FC ever. Other than petronas what petrol you use. was curious how u guys get to near 90 km per bar on the fuel gauge.

QUOTE(LS_Ngu @ Jun 6 2010, 07:51 AM) It's true the new vios (07 & above) no need to change the gear box ATF oil? I ask the SC they said for new vios is no need to changed one, just wondering it's effect the gear box lifespan or not... The same goes for me when i ask to change ATF oil the sc say no need to change, but i send outside foreman to change but didnt flush. The 4 litre ATF oil WS grading alone cost RM110.00. The time when i change i have done only 26000km

QUOTE(michael9413 @ Jun 7 2010, 10:00 AM) no need to change that fast la... 80k only la... my fren not like last time already every 30k km or so u need to change... not it last more long than you expected... the timing chain also should last for LIFETIME , but V-belt u need to change once it gives you noise about 50~70k km... but it cost you about RM50 only with labour cost also haha... just stick to their schedule, if you change at outside they can Void ur warranty... and BEWARE... there is a lot of imitation Toyota Ori Engine Oil, ATF, Brake Fluid out there that is what i heard from UMW staff... Actually i did ask few toyota service center regarding the ATF oil, all of them say no need to change, until the ATF oil change to slightly black if not no need to change even at 80k km, but i just feel uneasy n just change for fun of changing.

QUOTE(adrianocy @ Jul 27 2010, 05:13 PM) i plan to change battery this week myself, is there any electronic settings need to be done after changing? Careful bro, i have change my battery outside n till today my rpm still unstable especially when the air condition kick in. The rpm will go down until 5k+ n take few second to go up till normal like 8300rpm, Remember it take few second to kick back to normal n the sterling also wobble a bit n the lcd display light also blink for a short while. I send for tuning n nothing change except the stupid sa say it normal n even charge me RM80 for tuning. But performance wise everything is normal. Might send for air condition service later if the problem still exist for another few days. Hopefully the ECU can detect the change in the rpm n go back to normal.

QUOTE(kazami @ Jan 17 2011, 03:38 PM) plug and play if i not mistaken... HID can diy... for this vios i have now.. do not own by me because my sis drive it most of the time... so didnt install it.. then the car im driving now is camry year 03, install hid h7 6000k (DIY). so far so good... another car tat i drive it for college or work in future is sorento.. the foglamp i install with 6000k hid size 881 (DIY as well). output is further and brighter than the headlamp.... the beam shoot front straight instead of wide but vios, the beam is wide on halogen bulb... havent try out with hid yet... Anyway, i have just change to Philip crystal vision for only RM200/set, very satisfy becos stated its white but actually is yellowish white like my head lamp Osram night breaker H4 n very bright, wider focus n higher beam. The only worry is scare the fog light plastic might melt becos its quiet hot. Question wonder why my H11 crystal vision is only 4100k instead of 4300k as seem on lwn member selling.
