While Neko Bank is busy acquiring Banks..
someone else is probably lurking in the back ground (CIMB)... if Nazir manages to pull of this stunt, it would probably be the coup of the century for Malaysian Banks. On the other hand, i doubt it, since other (smaller) banks may join hands and rally around Maybank to prevent CIMB from acquiring Maybank. No doubt Cimb would only be buying Maybank shares at a VERY costly premium. Than again, there is always those naughty little proxies, nominess and so on well hidden from prying eyes... or even EPF, Khazanah or ValueCap turning hostile towards Maybank. With the his Bro at helm as Prime Minister... CIMB is in poll position to make a killing Hence i would say anything can happen, the Tiger is now being hunted. |

This counter is good for case study.
OilCorp, now 0.13 cents I think alot of Oilcorp creditors already triggering the event of default clause and come asking for money already. (Bonds, Loans) Just that one of the creditors are faster, hitting the alarm bell by going for a winding up order. Goh Chiu -v- OilFab, Claim only $1m...?? It won't be too long now. |
