Hmmm.... good to buy axiata now?

Is like running into a tunnel without a torch light, if u ask me now.

Ans: i dun know

QUOTE(panasonic88 @ Oct 6 2009, 04:54 PM)
DIGI dropped the most as compared to TM & Axiata.
*
Btw PM made the announcement on the 27th July 2009, u can see the patern from there. How each counter reacted thereafter.

Digi dropped the most... some recovery but 3 months comparison it still pretty low.

TM i would call it flat... 3 mths it peaked becoz TM gave out 10c dividend.

Axiata gained the most through out...

Looks like FCPO prices is softening to 2K,

definately can rule out Plantation sector that will (sustain) lift the KLCI further..

Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeee  rclxms.gif
Bought my UEM 5K units yesterday at 1.53 n sold it off at 1.55 just now...  laugh.gif
This is what i call peanut gain.... very different from Jason's 20% gain concept!  sweat.gif
*
Example:

Not to be bragging or anything, i bought 11/9/09 5K AMMB ABP 4.30 (avg down).. now is trading 4.45

thats Rm 700.

Why not watch ur investment grow 5 ---> 10 ---> 20 ---> or even 50% ?

be patient...

anyway thats my 2 cents.

Truly understandable. nod.gif
However I need the $ back for some other purposes....  icon_rolleyes.gif
Buying UEM yesterday was more for contra gain but plan tak jadi bcoz once bought it slided to 1.51  sad.gif
Anyway i still hv 15K units of UEM in my cold storage  brows.gif
Will dump all when the right time comes....wanna follow "uncle'/'kor kor'/"romeo" Cherroy style...reits n dividend counters  flex.gif
*
Just my 2 cents only, whatever reason i am sure u have made a sound decision.

i tried selling/buying intra day and all taking adv of low commission/cost etc... but in the long run i felt i lost more compared to what i have gained (looking back) - hence i call them cheap thrills.

thats my own take on things but you may have ur own financial objectives which i am not qualified to comment on.

Looks like KLK's error turn out to be a boon for ppl who long FKLI...

The KLCI also seem to be holding on to the gains made by KLK... which is fueling the fact it is possible that all this rubbish might be a Kospirasi.

Anyone got the price before the error occured...

this will confirm the fact the KLK retained its momentum, if the share price prior to the error was lower than the price today.

QUOTE(cherroy @ Oct 7 2009, 02:40 PM)
Bursa cannot cancel the order, they only can cancel the order/transaction it those error is caused by its server or matching issue.

The error come from the broker keyed in order, not at Bursa side.

As if Bursa allow cancelling order that matched, next time a lot of parties also request for it.
Whenever buy too high, request for cancelling the transaction.  rclxms.gif

I don't see where is the conspiracy theory come from. Manipulation or purposely jack up closing price may be (which is norm, especially on book closing date for window dressing etc), but not on conspiracy theory.

Do you notice 2nd Oct Lowest is 1198.5.
It is even better gain for FKLI.

But the case is, I feel Bursa need to fix the loophole.
Or else, people tend to abuse it.
*
Personally if this was really a manipulation both in the KLCI and FKLI, i would say its a stroke a geniues or the biggest coup against Bursa with everyone busy bashing the trader (scapegoat) for the error...

unknowingly by regulators/investors someone from the other end of the world, they are carting away truck loads of money and well prepared somewhere in the carribeans sipping their fine wine and champagne.

I would say the plot is Brilliant!

Better than Hedging, this is a market maker.

All you need to do is...
1. take up a long position
2. pick a counter that has a reasonable weightage on the board i.e. KLK
3. cook up a story i.e. scape goat
4. deposit cheque into bank.

QUOTE(lklatmy @ Oct 7 2009, 03:55 PM)
I tend to agree with cherroy that this isn't any conspiracy. This is what I observed on my BFE terminal that day:

Someone keyed in a market order to buy KLK during the pre-closing session(1645hr to 1650hr),quantity I can't remember,TCP appeared as RM17 as buyer overwhelm sellers.( There was an uproar in my office then ,thats why I remember).

At 1650hr,Trading at last session starts, but there was no matching for KLK while other stocks were being matched. We were wondering why.(This was later explained when Bursa  in it's explanation clarify that KLK status was at "Reserved",in this state,no matching will be done and the broker initiated the buying market order can actually withdraw the order if he so wish.At this point,we were frantically searching for clients with KLK shares so that we can take advantage of the situation.

Matching at RM17 started at around 4.52pm after the "reserved status"was over, there were still buyers at RM17 after the first round of matching, everyone was so excited that all were calling their clients to sell but it was too late, big sellers came in and sellers overwhelm buyer then.chicken ran away liao!

To me,it's a  case where someone who keyed in a market order did not withdraw it before 1650 hr,could be due to many reasons but most likely,it's a case of oversight especially if that person keyed many market orders for many counters. This practice of market sell and market buy orders during pre-closing was prevalent before ,but after the KLK incident happened,I see very few  yesterday.

This is a good lesson for the big boys, always play play, have a taste of their own medicine. In fact,I think many of us are very happy that the perpetrator have to folk out 0.5m for they have been doing this kind of monkey business  far too often, thereby influenced the closing price.

If it is a conspiracy, there got to be a motive ,In this case,if try to influence the closing price, then they have suceeded but very costly and even a 3 year old knows that the price will fall back the next day.If the motive is to influence the FKLI closing,it is not month end and the perpetrator should also know that the FKLI opening next day will be down too since the KLK price will open lower.

We can expect less monkey business during the closing from now on.Something to cheer cheers.gif

Pbb will emerged as the strongest bank in Malaysia even after the merger. At first maybe Cimaybank will be very strong, but after that, the throne belongs to Pbb.

Cannot say the same to HLB and RHB
*
If u say transition period, yes that might be true...

Most likely the existence of Cimaybank would result in huge jobless, restructuring and so on...

but the client base they share,

regional presence..

would undoubtable make Cimaybank a force to be reckon with ...

If it turn out like Sime, than i got nothing to say .
