For older series, you can also try your luck at HK Video. I know they have a branch at Sg Wang, another in Petaling Street. Earlier this year they had 50% sale for old TVB series (produced by Taiseng). The current TVB dvd in Malaysia is produced by Multimedia, they are rather slow with reproducing older series.

Really, can gimme the address? You can negotiate the price if you go to their stores. Regulars usually get discounts, even for new arrivals.

Added on October 19, 2009, 1:13 pmThe trailer you saw is made for Sales Presentation. The series haven't film yet... it's just selling an idea to attract advertisers and sponsors. Cast featured in the sales presentation clip is not committed to the series, and the storyline is subject to change (if TVB eventually films it).

Sales Presentation is held annually on Nov 19, where TVB will show trailers (series already filmed or in progress) and clips (new series, not filmed/confirmed) to media and advertisers.

This year, sales presentation is brought earlier and will be shown live in HK tonight (previously HK audience have to wait a week later).

Good, but not those stupid blind good

Because it's TVB anniversary month. TVB anniversary month start from Oct 19 - Nov 19, therefore they will usually air grand production series in this period. In addition, Sir Run Run Shaw (Uncle 6) is stepping down next year.

If you can understand the 'flowery' dialogue in BTROC, you will find the series exciting. Almost every line uttered by the cast have hidden meaning (isi tersirat).

It didn't matter that much whether Tavia wins or not. TVB intention is to legitimately push her to 1st leading rank. Remember 2006, Myolie vs Charmaine? It's the same case. Back then, the hype was about how Myolie should win because of her weight gain/outstanding character in Fei Tin despite that the series only aired two weeks before award. All the hoo-ha and 'support'? Now that ppl have watched Fei Tin in full , it's one of the most critisized series in Myolie's acting career (well, BF3 can fight for the title). But Myolie did successfully place herself in 1st leading fadan category afterward.

I'm supporting for Sheren this year

Of course, that also depend on how Charmaine and Tavia fares in later episode of BTROC.
