I find the article mo liu and insulting to the actresses, as if that is their asking price. That is the price wealthy rich are willing to fork up, NOT what the actresses (Charmaine, Tavia, etc) is asking.

However, it's true that some models and kelefeh actresses do this kind of side jobs... escorting rich men to ballroom dinner etc.

A little gossip: Charmaine was once offered Ferrari F430, yacht etc by a billionaire. She outright said no to him, what more a mere HKD1 million? That is just a fraction of her annual income tax

Veteran Chan Hung Lit's sudden death during <Off Pedder> filming

Veteran actor Chan Hung Lit (陳鴻烈) recently passed away at age 66 (1943-2009). Before his sudden death, he was shooting for TVB sitcom <Off Pedder> when he suddenly got a heart attack falling into a coma. He was soon rushed to the hospital for emergency treatment and died at 7:11pm. His role in <Off Pedder> as Boss Yim (閆器) is the only representative work that Chan Hung Lit worked on until his very last breath.

TVB held a long service award ceremony last night, initially the group of veteran actors were very excited, but when they learned the news of Lit Gor's death, everyone felt unfortunate that they lost another good actor, a good colleague, the atmosphere turned dull.

Chan Hung Lit started working on <Off Pedder> in TVB City at 4pm, he and his son in the series Stephen Au were in the clothing room changing when he suddenly felt pain in his heart, Stephen quickly notified the Producer and called the ambulance. TVB's security personnel arrived at the scene first, Chan Hung Lit at the time had already fell into a coma and CPR was immediately performed on him. Soon, the ambulance came and sent him to the nearest hospital in Tseung Kwan O, for immediate emergency treatment. It was not until 7:11pm that his death was confirmed.

Younger sister rushes to the hospital
TVB General Manager Stephen Chan learned of Chan Hung Lit's death, he felt it was too sudden and sad. He said: "I just saw him at the TVB anniversary on the 19th, at the time I even praised his excellence on the Elvis Presley's costume, song and dance. Their performance got the ratings to peak at 39 points. Mona Fong also learned of the news and expressed her concern, if Chan Hung Lit's family members needs any help, TVB is more than willing to provide assistance." Because most of Chan Hung Lit's family is located in Taiwan, TVB directly contacted his younger sister who is currently in Hong Kong to rush to the hospital.

Does TVB give special accommodations to veteran actors to avoid overworking them? Stephen Chan said: "TVB is very concerned for their artistes, would get a body check annually. However, it is a fact that life is fragile." In remembrance of Chan Hung Lit, besides broadcasting a special of his life on <Scoop>, the next episode of <Off Pedder> will have a remembrance message before the opening of the episode "Our love Big Brother Chan Hung Lit, Thank you for everything, We will always remember you. Also, yesterday on <Off Pedder>, the episode coincidentally was focused on Lit Gor's role, he discovered that Wayne Lai's character is his actual son."

Mandy Cho and Chan Hung Lit once were rumored due to living in the same neighborhood. The rumors started when they were spotted in the same car after work. Mandy expressed that everyone knows the rumor is false. In her impression, Lit Gor is a very cheerful elderly, having good air and smiles.

Yes Chan Hung Lit was in the crossover, he was the most left one during My Girl song. His soulful singing won applause from the crowd. Even if you can't recognize him, the credit shows his name.

The person who acted as Moses dad in Gem is called Ngok Wah, and he doesn't look alike with Chan Hung Lit at all!

The bungalow shown in TVB series is owned by a rich lady... she often loan it to TVB for filming. ATV also used this bungalow before.
