Fallen Earth is a post apocalyptic mmorpg (somewhat like Fallout setting) , where the world population has been decimated by the Shiva virus. The endgame for this mmorpg is focused on pvp (ie no raids).
Having played this game for awhile (open beta and release) , here are my thoughts:
Open ended stat system - players can choose to learn any skills and stats they like. Unfortunately there is a steep learning curve, it is recommended that you read up on AP allocation because there is no respec.
Combat system - fps style. No pressing of buttons, instead you use a crosshair and shoot/whack people.
Very large game map.
Despite being marketed as a sandbox game, quest progression is surprisingly linear. You complete all the quests in Sector 1, then go to Sector 2, then Sector 3. Yes, theme park style. You do gain experience via gathering and crafting, but it is less compared to questing. The learning curve isn't as steep as EVE online but the sandbox experience is also dumbed down.
Mobs - low level AI is crap, they can be standing next to each other but won't aggro when you pull 1 of them. That being said, it is impossible to solo mobs that are 1-2 levels above you.
Levelling is slow.
You get your first mount at level 2, if you have the cash to craft it.
Most importantly, there is a lot of lag when there is more than 20 people in the same town.
So if you have come across this game and want to give it a shot, it doesn't compare much to other mmos out there. Give it a month or 2 to see if they sort out their problems before you actually buy it.
