umm, i have another question for everyone. According to most websites, open-air headphones should provide a very good soundstage. Wide soundstage with good separation of the instruments. that's what they say with the AD300. However, this does not seem to be the case with the grados and alessandros. They're famous for their open-air headphones, yet they're also famous for the narrow soundstage. Is it because of the size of the cans? i mean, their headphones aren't as big as full-sized headphones, thus the narrow soundstage?

@DarthMaus, can we meet each other? I need to test out the Alessandro's MS1i, or else i'll just get either senn's or akg's.

just be careful when buying M30, coz there's a lot of fake out there... buy from authorize dealer only... but that doesnt mean the cheap one is fake and the expensive one is original..

hi guys, need a quick recommendation. what would be a good and versatile IEM that can handle pretty much anything you throw at it (ie, rock, pop, dance, vocals, instrumentals, lounge)? would much prefer one with more details without sacrificing too much bass. currently eyeing either the bijou3's or the hippo shroom still cant decide. anything else that would fit into my RM200 budget?

Hurm. I'm not a basshead and I don't know what drives you to say that. What I really like is separation. I love to listen to a song and be able to separate the drum from the guitars if you know what I mean. Don't want it to be messy plus I'm not a fan of cloudy bass which will drown every other sound.

I almost ended up with Grado SR60 but I took a step back once I auditioned and find it quite uncomfortable for me. But it has a very good SQ for metal songs in terms of the bass and clarity mixing but somehow I found that it's not good separation wise. Other than that it's a decent can for it's price. Please don't bash me if I'm using the wrong terms here.

I really wanna try AKG AT and high end Senns say HD650 but haven't found the right place to test even one of it. Gonna drop to the shops you guys suggested, maybe I'll found one.

Huhu... nevermind... this AD500 is actually a birthday present from my gf... cannot simply sell wan... besides, i like AD500's colour better. AD700 colour combination is a bit weird. Actually wanted to get the AD400, but then found out that AD500's driver is same size as AD700, but not as expensive as the AD700.

Upon browsing the SoundMAGIC PLXX series, I came across the PL11, they said it's for bass so I might consider this one.
