It's all about Rooney these days to be that man(although not like for like just waiting inside the box for a chance) ever since Tevez and Berba came into the picture. He showed flashes of his brilliance there being really good at getting behind defenders and into great goal scoring positions all the time, just that his form can't keep up and he's only able to show it in patches. He's been great for England over the last year or so, and seems to start the season really well. Let's hope he can keep that up this time and finally show his prowess in front of goal consistently. His finishing is superb IMO when he's on that kind of run. Just need to hold onto it longer and more frequent compare to previous seasons.

Valencia has done pretty well IMO being a new guy at the club. Always threatening even though he's not that effective right now. He gives us genuine width and will always try to cross the ball in. He's not shining as much as at Wigan because he's not the main man anymore like when he was there. And he's new with us, will take a while for him to gel with the rest. But he just need to be that traditional winger, and everything will take care of itself. Just need to improve his overall game a bit.

Don't think so. Just a normal player struggling for form. Look at Ronaldo early last season. He was struggling with his form and was easily frustrated on the pitch in most games. Same thing Carrick is going through I guess. All players go through these spells where they just can't seem to do things right. Nani, Ando(until late last season), Scholes last season weren't in form.
