A bit of a flier here on some Carlos Santos loafers. Not a huge fan of the model, but much respect for the brand (though they do have a range of quality). All in all these seem like really solid value for 77 dollars. I'm liking the built-in patina on this penny loafer style, given that I find penny loafers pretty boring on the whole. I've been beating the hell out of a pair of navy suede Carmina tassel loafers for the past half year, just because of how convenient they are here in Malaysia, and I suspect I might get some similar mileage out of these. I'm always kinda attracted to contrasts in style, as we have here with the penny design with the Italian flair. I think this flier worked out!

Now the last of the new arrivals, and far and away the one that I was most excited for: my first pair of Zonkey Boots. This brand has been on my radar for quite some time. This is an offshoot company from the founder of Saint Crispin's (truly breathtaking shoes), seemingly still very much under most people's radars. The company is based in Vienna, I think, but the shoes are made in Italy. On their website you can see some truly stunning designs.

I got these at about half off (maybe a little more, even) thanks to some kind of Christmas sale code. I'm glad I have them, because I want to collect something from every significant maker within my means, but I'm not in love with them. I was hoping for something more dressy, but I can see that this last (and overall feel) is better suited for jeans. Maybe they will grow on me, but I really can't see wearing these with a suit. If anyone here is a 7.5 UK, please feel free to offer up a trade.
