Green shoes are quite easy to wear on the contrary and I love them!

Wow, awesome collection, pair well with your rollie hulk tongue.gif I also wonder how you polished shoes with this color, especially those already with great hand-painted patina.

Thank you

QUOTE(niakulah @ Apr 29 2018, 01:51 PM)
Leather soles are meant to be walked on. They just feel better to me. If it weren't for the fact that my gait eats up the toe way too quickly, I would have just left it as is.

For years I've been trying to get a cobbler willing to install flush metal toe taps. Was planning to buy them myself online from the UK. But about a year back I found a few Japanese cobblers on IG that do this with rubber. And I finally got a local cobbler to do the same for me.

I really can't express how happy I am.

Aaaand the mirror gloss hype is well deserved
[attachmentid=9786697]

It's not a proper mirror shine (which honestly I have never achieved before), but I only spent about 15 minutes on it last night, including time taken for some light conditioning and creme.

I'll be voting in style today.  thumbup.gif

winning style. More close up shot please, to feast and blind my eyes.

Walking through pebble is fine but definitely will wear it out prematurely. If you're really concern Loake has some rubber dianite soles that you could also wear rain or shine. Most importantly is to wear it every alternate days and use shoe trees. That would prolong the life of your shoes.

I do tend to be a bit cautions with corners when I wear dress shoes. I do get some scuffs at the end of the day but some polishing every week will help maintain it and looks as new again.
*
Getting a topy fix perhaps. Or Saphir soleguard will delay the wear and tear?

The rubber tips were added to prevent the toe from wearing too fast, not for grip.

Hmm...Pediwear has 20% on non sale items. Might be a good time to finally get my Burgundy Strand, since P Lal doesn't carry this colour. Still can get free shipping after discount. Costs only around RM900 before tax. Good price.

Oiiii why you poison me lar?  rclxs0.gif
*
Lol, cuz i know your Christmas list is long, just slowly pushing the poison to you. My pending bucket list

1) DM, captoe
2) Penny Loafter on dainaite
3) Calf leather white sneakers
4) Chukka/Chealsea boot.

Aaaargh, no good. Just ran it by the Home Minister and she said yes. Sure fire clue that she's after something expensive too. I will pengsan when I get next month's CC bill.
*
A happy home minister is a happy man. How to get pediware 20% discount and free shipping? Not finding the deal over the web pun.

I finally managed to assemble the basic shoe polishing game on Saphir cream, wax and reneveteur. The wax really gao, I think can last for years for a large tin.

I just googled Pediwear Black Friday

https://www.pediwear.co.uk/orders/black-friday.php

Yeah I can't seem to browse to it. Maybe they just prepared the page and will put a link on their front page on Friday?
*
Since minister already approve, just standby adding shoes into the cart then.

Loake again. Strand in Burgundy. I'm comfortable in the Capital last.

That day was really tempted to pull the trigger for an Enzo Bonafe, coincidentally also a burgundy adelaide style. Less than 400 USD... but i din not...

fuuuu 400 USD for EB is cheap bro. I wish I could buy such things too, but I really need to try the shoes or know their lasts if buying online.

Loake is my sweet spot for now. I have a good rotation now, just ticking some boxes of what I don't have. In this case, I'm ticking 3 boxes:
Burgundy
Adelaide
Medallion

Still on my list are:
Suede
Apron
Navy
Dark green
Captoe boot
*
I still believed in buy less buy quality, the heritage of craft and the person behind EB, truly appealing. My list still:

1) Whole cut black oxford
2) Penny loafter
3) White sneaker
4) DM
5) Adelaide
6) Chealsea/chukka suede

400 USD on EB is crazy cheap. On the other hand I recently bought something from Sons of Henrey which is a relatively new brand but has some promising lasts. To be receiving their moleskin oxfords in 10 days, will be back to form opinions.
*
Yes, but hold my horses before pulling my trigger, hand welted is really something huh. Son of Henrey is uncommon for me. Maybe share more when you have received it.

It just shipped before Christmas. Pediwear was out of stock of this model/colour/size.

I don't mind waiting, it was a good price. At least better than some Black Friday scammers sellers; sorry no stock, here's your money back.

Handwelted (in China?), Annonay calf, complimentary lasted trees. Only about RM2.4k. F*** me.

Anyone want to buy a Loake Strand in burgundy size 9UK? Brand new in box!
*
Yes, i have one Friend, a Pinoy working in SZ, the shoe game there is very strong, handwelted i think at Philippines at Carmina price.
