LOL ! then I blame you for getting a low salary. The company has no chance for you to perform or you didnt ask for the chance? It is different. If u have tried and u didnt obtain it, then go somewhere else. But from what you mentioned, it seems that you didnt show initiative to shine. The fact that you complained you have very light workload also is another problem. Ever heard of high pay and easy job? |

Often in life we could easily put the blame on someone else. Food for your thought. U want something, go get it. Be the change instead of waiting for others to change. BTW, I find it difficult to accept that your company does not have any chance for you to shine. This is total crap in my opinion. Ppl that shine are those that do more than is required, obtain knowledge before hand and not when needed. My uncle started of as a QA exec like you did. His working hours stop at 6pm because thats when everyone goes home. HOWEVER, he stayed back, learn the process and enhanced his knowledge. DO TAKE NOTE that all of this was done out of his OWN WILLINGNESS. This went on for 1 year and average time he stayed after working hours is 4 hours. He then moved on to work in singapore with a raise of 200% (figures, not only exchange rate, which means he got 400% more after conversion) after working for 3 years. Now, he's based in China as a QA Director after working for slightly more than 9 years making SGD20k. You decide what you are. No excuses. Your company sucks then move out. Staying in your confort zone, then thats your problem. |

Its part of life. You are going to have to deal with it. Many companies are like that and I have been in such company's and I left. To me, since you have a family, you should be thinking this way. How will it help your family in the future if you continue to stay in your current job? Would you not like to provide a better living for your family? Not sure how old are your children, but based on your current earnings, when your children pursue's their tertiary education, you are going to be in a pinch even if you send them to local uni / college |

I wouldnt state how much you will need as each family has different needs. I read a survey before. Average surveys shows that the cost to raise a kid from 0 - 18 years old cost approximately 500k. You do the math. To me, why not try to lessen the burden of your husband ? If you are hesitant to leave the company why not try to do some part time / side income since you are able to leave work fairly early. Usually (in olden times), it is the head of the house that is responsible to feed the family, however, if the partner can help reduce the burden, why not? I'll put my family's income here and you can judge. My family earns RM20k++ monthly with 4 children. My parents are NOW enjoying life (55 years old. They are still working but less worries now cause 3 out of 4 is working already). But before they reached this age, especially when they were 40+ .. they worked really hard to ensure all of us were provided tertiary education. All of us took PTPTN loan and we were sent to local university's FYI. I had an above average life but please do not mistake us as having a luxurious life. My house consist of protons and peroduas only. NO IMPORTED CARS. |

Opening a kisok at shopping center n letting other people handle. First of all do you have experience in such things? If no then why wanan take the risk of letting other ppl run it ? I rather choose to do it fulltime. Either way the decision of whether to advance or not is up to you. |

I think that is only applicable to offshore workers in the OnG. Normal office related ones are kinda stressful otherwise they wont give u such high pay. |
