QUOTE(QuickFire @ Dec 5 2010, 12:26 AM)
I've tried the major free and lite IM apps, and can conclude meebo is by far the best. There are no ads. Interface looks pretty nice. Push notifications limit that seems to last forever. The only things that can be improved is the display pictures for most of the contacts don't show up for me, and it doesn't automatically change my status to away when I close the app, so I'm online 24 hours a day lol.
No idea why people pay $10 for beejive and IM+
*
yeah, i'm on meebo, too
msn, facebook, and yahoo

Erm why not just use the messenger app itself?
*
somehow, the messenger app seems a little weird to me, it kinda hang on me, sometimes
but then, i'm using meebo, with multiple accounts login, just nice

by the way, anyone using blogpress to update their blogs?

AppSwitch (FOC) - Good to peep at the apps running in the background, the resources available, something like Task Manager and Event Viewer
Armory (FOC) - Good for WoW players like me, the WoW icon alone is worth it all, haha
MIX FM (FOC) - Good for local FM access, includes Hitz FM, Lite FM, MY FM, and several others
VLC (FOC) - Extremely good media player, would be best if it supports Real Media, too
LEDfMaster (FOC) - Utilizes the LED as flash light, easy access, good enough for me
PDFReader Lite (FOC) - As the name implies, it reads PDF only
Dictionary (FOC) - Offline dictionary with constant updates
iTranslate (FOC) - Useful for "banana" like me, easy to use, especially translating the forwarded SMS, haha
PhotoStudio ($0.99) - Highly recommended for pictures editing, it got almost everything
Camera+ ($0.99) - Good for picture editing as well, but this would be my second choice after PhotoStudio
Instagram (FOC) - Good for picture editing, too, especially if it's free. But the downside of it, the pictures size will all be reduced once it's edited
Impression (FOC) - Useful to add a watermark or signature to your pictures before uploading them online

Just my 2 cents sweat.gif

eBuddy Pro ($0.99, or was it $2.99, i can't remember!) - My first app
Evernote (FOC) - A lot more organized than the default Notes
BlogPress, ($2.99) - Worth the money spent only if you're a blogger, I love this
PS Express (FOC) - Another simple app to edit photos
Lego Photo (FOC) - Lego-lize any images to a variety of colors in small, tiny Lego cubes
Momento ($2.99) - This was a costly mistake that I learnt never to make it again. But it has got very beautiful interface and user friendly. Problem is that I don't really need it... So. Yeah, I was a pig for purchasing this, damn.
Papagp M6 Lite (N/A) - This was a gift from a friend, which I hardly use, anyway. It's laggy...
