Hi, we have just released the application on the last day of 2009, 31 December 2009. Our application is called CineApps. Please support us as local freelancers. Please feel free to post to us any bugs or suggestions and we will take it seriously. Thank you thank you.

APPLICATION FEATURES:

-Check ticket pricings for more than 80 cinemas in Malaysia including sabah and Sarawak.
-Easier and faster access to cinema showtimes for cinemas such as GSC, TGV, Cathay Cineplex, MBO, Big Cinemas, Lotus, Iswaria and Star.
-Get updated on current "Now Showing" and "Coming Soon" movies in cinema.
-Watch fast and high quality trailer and video clips from our movie database.
-Get cinema info with maps, phone number and movie showtimes.
-Check and compare movie showtimes for every cinemas.
-Add a cinema into your favourite list for faster access.
-Connect to Google map to get the direction to your nearest cinema.

Hi,

You can find both the GSC and TGV cinemas under "Petaling Jaya". We have checked the app and found out that CineApps is not running slower than "Now Playing" because of the interface. There are times where the loading takes a bit of time because of the server. Since this is our first app, we did not invest a lot in the hosting server.

Since we can see our app is quite successful, it is now ranked 18 in "Entertainment" category in just mere few days of released, this time we will invest more in the hosting server. We will make sure that the app is good enough for everyone to use. Please let us know if there are any problems that you face when using CineApps and we will try and fix it. There are times where the loading speed is not affected by the hosting server but due to the unstability of the mobile internet connection.

Don't worry. In fact, we really love to hear feedbacks from the users. With feedbacks, then only we are able to create better apps. We will improve CineApps from time to time. We know there is a bug at the "Favorite" section and we have submitted the fix for it. It is now awaiting for Apple's approval and will be released as soon as it is approved.

With the full support from all the brothers and sisters here, our CineApps finally made it to Top 100 Free Apps in just 3 days.

Hi,

When you click on the "heart" shape icon, the cinema is automatically added to the favorite list. You are unable to unclick it to remove from the favorite. To remove from the favorite list, you have to go to the "Favorite" section and delete it. It is not a bug actually as we did not enable the unclick function. We enable the function in next version.

The bug that i mentioned is that you are unable to click on the first cinema that added into the "Favorite" list. Do not worry as we have already fixed the problem in the next update which is waiting for Apple's approval.

You should be able to choose the seats once the ticket buying system is developed.

Hi,

Initially we planned to release CineApps with the "Star Rating" and "User Review" systems but there are still some coding problems which we are still working on it. Since it is going to take a while to solve it, we had decided to release the first version with the very basic features such as movie showtimes and movie trailers. I will post the update as soon as the review system is ready.


We will look into the listing system and try to work something on it. Are you suggesting that we should group all the cinemas in Kuala Lumpur, Puchong, Klang, Putrajaya, Petaling Jaya and Kajang under the same category as Kuala Lumpur? If all the cinemas were to group under 1 same category, the list of cinemas will be very long.

Actually we had invested on the hosting server but we did not expect our application to be so popular. The sudden increase of the users are unexpected. We will definitely invest more on the hosting server so that you guys will have a more pleasant user experience while using our app. You can support us by viewing the ads displayed and give reviews in iTune.

Regarding the "Favorite" section, we still feel that putting it as home page is appropriate as the users will be able to view their favorite cinemas immediately after logging in to our application. I believe most of us have our own favorite cinemas.

We are dealing with the cinemas now to have the ticket booking system integrated in our application. Cathay Cineplexes had approved us.

Hi Guys,

We have released CineApps version 1.20. We have fixed some minor bugs and changed the name to CineApps Malaysia. We received feedbacks from our users that they were unaware that CineApps is for Malaysian. Therefore to avoid any confusions, we therefore name it CineApps Malaysia.

We do receive feedbacks from our users that our CineApps interface are too fancy therefore making the loading slower. This is not true. We are using basic interface which will not affect the loading speed. The loading speed is due to the sudden heavy load in the server and sometimes might be due to the laggy line from the mobile operator. We have tested the app using EDGE and 3G. It is working fine. Anyhow, we will keep upgrading the hosting server from time to time to allow better user experience.

We will be releasing Cathay ticket booking and movie review in the next upcoming version 2.0. Please stay tune for it.

p/s : If our app name did not appear in the "Upgrade" section in iTune, please click on our app and re-install. This is a bug maybe due to the app name has been changed. So sorry for the troubles caused.

And 1U is located in the "Petaling Jaya" section. We will work something on the list or maybe group everything in "Kuala Lumpur" category instead.

Hi, the latest version of CineApps Malaysia has been approved. The new update was submitted to Apple review team on last fri and it took them 1 week to review. So sorry for the delay. Added on January 29, 2010, 11:07 amWe have received some feedbacks from users that sometimes the movie showtimes or movie details are unable to load.

We have tested the application intensively and found out that the application crash and unable to load because of the network unstability. We have test it on WIFI connection and the application is running perfectly fine.

At the same time, we will keep improving on our app to make sure it is not affected by the network unstability to give all the CineApps users a better user experience.
